Din planting/weed a garden?

Din notices things about you that everyone else simply ignores. He notices how your face scrunches up when you’re really concentrating on something and how brightly you smile when he brings you the smallest gifts back from wherever he’s been. He also notices how sad you are over the little flower you had that died. You tried your best to take care of it, but it didn’t last that long. You brush it off but Din knows you too well now to be fooled by that facade.
So when he starts getting up early every day and begins digging into the empty patch at the back of the little hut you two share, you wonder what he’s up to. He keeps it blocked off because he knows you can’t resist looking even when he tells you it’s a surprise.
“Am I allowed to go outside?” you ask him.
“Of course. Just not towards the back of the hut,” he says. You try to sneak and look, but he’s always a step ahead. Now he’s hung up some kind of sheet so you can’t see. You look up at the window and he’s watching you. He shakes his head and you shrug in defeat.
