Y’know, whenever I see a TS AU for a fandom (Beetlejuice, Harry Potter, She-Ra etc.), I always see the Sanders Sides getting the main roles, which makes sense- a lot of the character’s fit the Sides’ general traits and characteristics, but other characters in the TS Universe also fit those traits perfectly! Not to mention, there are so many roles in some AUs that are main roles, that you kinda have to give the side characters some more focus, but they kind of appear as an afterthought.
I feel like we should give those characters some more limelight than what they would normally get at least once in a while, because God knows they’re not gonna get much screen time what with all the projects Thomas and the crew has, which is understandable, so I think we should take into our hands to give them the attention and characterisations they deserve!
So yeah, anyways, here’s a Heathers: The Musical AU where the Side Characters get most of the main roles:
Character! Thomas as Veronica (This C! Thomas is more of a fusion of Shorts! Thomas and Sides! Thomas but his personality leans more on the Shorts! Thomas side)
Detective from Kill in the Blank as J.D. can we get this guy a name?
Remy/Sleep from Sanders Shorts as Heather Chandler
Dice/Critic from Stress to Impress as Heather Duke
Emile Picani from Cartoon Therapy as Heather McNamara
Malinda’s Character from ‘Don’t Make Me’ as Martha
Thomas’ Character from ‘Don’t Make Me’ as Ram (apparently the fandom’s calling him Damien? It means ‘the powerful man of the people’ which doesn’t make much sense when you think about how he tried to kill his wife, failed and fell over the palace balcony, thus making his wife the ruler of the land, but sure- go off I guess)
The Adventurer Character from Bored Meeting as Kurt this guy needs a name too-
Teal/Teacher from Sanders Shorts as Mrs. Fleming
Pryce/Prince and his Villainous Boyfriend (oml why don’t these characters have names??? or at least ones that i know of???) from Sanders Shorts as Ram’s dad and Kurt’s dad (y’know from the ‘you’ll never have her!’ ‘and why is that?’ ‘because I love you’ Vine) yes, I’m going this far
Dayd/Dad and Andy/Anxiety from Sanders Shorts as Veronica’s parents
Virgil as J.D.’s Dad (it’s depressing how this is the only character I don’t need to cite the origins of)
There are a ton of characters in Heathers, so I’m probably gonna end up adding more characters as I go on, but y’know- we’ve got most of the main cast. Any thoughts on this? I’d love to hear them!
