hello everyone, on the twentieth day of this advent collab I am bringing you the most boring preview picture you will see this December! eleven new custom face sliders!
Here, you will find the following sliders, available in both bodyshop and CAS:
cheekbone width
cheekbone length
jawline squareness
upper lip area width
nose fold rotation (V1 and V2)
nose vertical length
nose tip length
nose bridge shape (V1 and V2)
broken nose

Massive thank you to @angelapleasant for getting this whole event together (you've done a fantastic job!) and to all the other creators who have both been and whose days are yet to come :D
preview pictures explaining as to which slider does what under the cut
Slider #1: cheekbone width
Self explanatory really, makes the cheekbones wider (but not deeper, nor taller). A bit like that one maxis slider but without any brow adjustment
Slider #2: cheekbone height
Makes the cheekbones longer or shorter on the y axis
Slider #3: jawline squareness
Affects the back of the jaw, changes the width without changing the chin or cheek width (unlike the maxis equivalents)
Slider #4: Upper lip width
The name's a bit confusing, it doesn't affect the upper lip but the area immediately above the upper lip, below the nose (I did look to see if it had an official name but that search sadly didn't turn up much). It's a little hard to see in the screenshot, but it makes this area wider or narrower.
Slider #5: nose fold rotation V1
This changes the angle of the nasal folds, rotating them up and down (as I've poorly tried to demonstrate in the screenshot). V1 affects a smaller area than V2, not really affecting any polygons around the mouth
Slider #6: nose fold rotation V2
Does the same thing as V1 nose fold rotation, but affects a larger area - this one moves more polys, including some near the mouth (despite the screenshots I swear they're different!). I only intended to make one slider for this, but couldn't decide which to keep so you get both :D
Slider #7: nose length
This slider makes the nose longer and shorter on the face, but in a different way to maxis' slider for the same thing in that the whole nose is stretched, centered in the middle of the nose, not just the nose tip moving up and down. (please ignore the clipping on the brow! the furthest point on the slider was too much for this guy's face but works fine on others)
Slider #8: nose tip length
like the maxis nose length slider, but only affects the tip of the nose
Slider #9: nose bridge shape V1
Makes the top of the nose bridge narrow and the nose tip wide, or the top of the bridge wide and the tip narrow, forming a triangular shape
Slider #10: nose bridge shape V2
Like slider #9, but affects only the nose bridge and not the nose tip, making it taper inwards our outwards from the top.
Slider #11: broken nose
forms a curve on the nose bridge off to the left, or off to the right, a bit like what you might get if your sim broke their nose

phew, that's all of them! hopefully these are ones that haven't been done before (I didn't previously have any of these, anyway), and that you might find at least some of these useful :D

here is a pic of all the recolors the set comes with!
- you get various color combos of the my little pony horse, and I used @pforestsims shine removal kit to give them a matte plastic finish.
- some of the little booty symbols are just random ones i drew, and some are from the game icons like the peace sign and bff symbol
-you get a red gingham and a light blue gingham recolor of the tres rug to kind of look like a vinyl mat maybe for a kitchen/craft room/retail space etc.
-you also get four cute teddy bears who have glasses that match their overalls. now your little sim kids with glasses can have a bear to match!
- then you get two super kooky hippie bears with colored sunglasses, and two cute little tie dye bears without glasses at all!
- the bears have dirty/worn states (theoretically, i must admit i didn't take the time to see it for myself and you apparently can't shift click to set a teddy bear worn the way you can set a toilet to be dirty etc.)
i hope you like everything! i had a lot of fun making them, and thanks to @angelapleasant for organizing the advent!!

First up, recolors of the basegame Chez Moi counters and a uv-mapping fix for the island. I based my recolors on the darkwood version of MsBarrows. I also extracted two of their countertop recolors.
These recolors somehow got a bit distorted on the island so I also made a uv-edit of the island.

2. The start of an age: Second one is afbodydressbridesmaid & tfbodydressbridesmaid replaced with AngelaPleasant’s recolors of DeeDee’s Dress Silk Long. Yes, indeed, I just posted a texture replacement for this. But guess what! I only use Skell's long edit of that dress, so I can replace the outfit with something else and it still works! Formal only, requires Cel. You can choose teens repo to adults or standalone.
And with that, the 2025 season comes to an end... see you in 2026! Don't stop playing The Sims!

Note for creators: I've included a PSD as usual, for any interested recolorists. Due to its mapping, not every pattern is going to line up perfectly on this mesh. There was quite a bit of effort involved in making the patterns look as nice as they do. So, if you try making recolors yourself, just know to choose your patterns carefully and don't just slappity-slap em on there.

Could I do more recolors of this? Yes, but that's what the included PSD is for, if I want to make more in the future (or if you do!).
Could I have converted this for teens and elders? Yes! But I tried to 3 times and I kept running into issues when it came to the shoes. Meshing is still a challenge for me - so if anyone else would like to try that, go for it.

3. AikeaGuinea's TF Ceremony Top Recolored
Recolored in a purple whimsygoth texture I nabbed off pinterest.
4. Io's Skipper Skirt TF Recolored
Black skirt with a belt texture lifted from NYC2. Socks taken from a texture on Pinterest.
5. @h0nkytonkangels Remix V2 Light Rose With Burn Scars
One swatch, using Remix V2 Light Rose and burn scars by @/satterlly. The burns only show for men. The skin is NOT geneticized and townified. As such, I do not recommend making a Sim in CAS with this skintone have children.
If you're like me and want to use this skin on Tybalt for Veronaville, open up the neighborhood in SimPE, find him on the Sim Browser and open up his DNA. In the option that says "Skintone", put in c6dd1559-4c4a-32f3-6ca1-fca8c633d86e and it should look like the screenshot below. This should prevent his skintone from being passed on.
6. Various Full Face Makeup for Tybalt
The burn scar is by @/chocobunsims and graciously converted by @gaypleasantview. There are four versions of this. Two with his face burn scar and mask and two without the mask but with the burn scar. The differences are between eyebrows. One being more Maxis Match and one being more realistic. Recolored in Afterglow Red. The Maxis Match eyebrows are from here, but I genuinely cannot remember who made the realistic brows because I don't have the original file. :(
7. Maxis TM Punk Outfit Recolored
I teased this a while back. This outfit has a variety of political, goofy, UI, etc pins. There is also a large patch that reads Bella Ciao in simlish, and the underwear is recolored blue.
8. Maxis TF Couture Dress Recolored
The yellow and red symbols are recolored to cyan and blue. Shoes have been recolored to match the stockings to give the illusion of thigh high boots.
9. Casteru Eyeglasses V1 Recolored
Converted by @platinumaspiration. Recolored by be cyan. Child-Elder.
