Hi anon ! BACC is an acronym for the "Build A City Challenge" and it's a specific type of playstyle where you make a custom hood and custom sims to simulate creating a new town. The original rules are here, but there are a bunch of rewrites and edits made by other users online.

Hey y'all. My CPU died, and it's super expensive. I have rent due very soon, and I'm taking a trip to Nashville at the end of July ! My savings is very low due to a variety of stuff, so paying for a replacement for my CPU (AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D) is an expense I cannot afford right now. I'm not asking for money since I can easily get back into a financially stable period, it just takes a small while !

I'm currently using a steam deck to play Sims, but any kind of CC making is put on hold (as if it wasn't already bc of life). It's fun in a strange sort of way to reinstall TS2 and do all of my fixes, lighting mods, UI, making reshade behave 🫩🫩🫩, and all that.

Basically, it may take a month or two to get back into the proper swing of things. For now, I'll focus on my Veronaville Expanded project and making my bacc rules :3

Introducing The Sims CODEX

I have been working on a neat little app (with AI - yes, yes, AI this AI that. If you don't like the idea of using AI to help build the App, move on, noone is forcing you to use this)

But this is a glorified spreadsheet, where you can view all your Sims in your hoods. It extracts all kinda of info like traits skills etc. Set your ages, find your age spans in settings and your good to go!

Look at all hoods / subhood stats,

View your Sims;

You can rearrange all the windows, close window bring out some more, add notes and adapt to how you want it to look!

You can also look at family trees! Huge family trees are supported! Add bio parents for adopted Sims etc.

You can look at the hoods demographics of your hood!

You can also update stuff real time, whilst the game is open! You can also track your rounds on this app too!

This might be the last update too... For much smaller windows, there will be some overlap sadly. I have been trying all day to MANUALLY adjust the scaling, but the best I can do is scale the window. But yeah, the info windows only scale to a certain size.

If you cannot understand the very code you are running, how are you even able to fix it besides asking ChatGPT 10 or so times before it finally sorts out its own bugs?

Instead of dropping a vibe-coded app for us as your test subjects, may I suggest dedicating time and effort into learning how to code?

idk if u do wcif but i saw ur tybalt w the burn scar (very late, ik) and i wanted to ask what skin details u used? i have a character for my custom hood im planning that needs a similar thing (if ur comfortable sharing ofc)

Hi ! He has a custom skin I that is the default I use + the burn overlay converted from TS4. The download is here, but I only made it available for men since I primarily made it for Tybalt.

The burns I used was from here, and I used the tattooer to just smack it on a skin I like.

If I ever figure out how to make an overlay box, I'll definitely convert burn scars and other such things to it. I'm just lazy, and this is the easiest way for me lol
