Lillaarith here (I am still around),
I’ve been sitting and tweaking these for a while now but I feel they should be okay to upload.
This is My Chemical Flora, my personal addon for Pooklet’s Project Mayhem. There are four complete families. These all go over Volatile as a base and fully set up as colour actions for Photoshop (photoshop CS6 Was use to make them). I sadly lost my notes on how to do them by hand.
The families are
Black: Cubane Dahlia
Brown: Acetate Orchid
Blond: Benzene Thistle
Red: Dioxane Heather
Grey: Gallic Wisteria

If you want to make actions for gimp or work out the manual way of doing it go for it

The Big TS2 Resource Post, Part 1 (Essential Programs and Mods)
This will be a series of resource posts for Simblrs who started from other games who want to start playing TS2. This first part is mainly for essential programs and mods.
Under the cut because this is a long one.
Programs and Utilities
Graphics Rules Maker - ensures that TS2 can take advantage of newer hardware. Otherwise your shiny graphics card can only play TS2 in the lowest settings.
Sims2Pack Clean Installer - replaces the Sims2Pack installer the game comes with. It lets you check what CC your lots/sims came with and if any unwanted hacks tag along with your lots.
Color Enable Package (CEP) - enables color options for EA objects. Required for a lot of CC recolors to work.
Scriptorium - makes it easier to install things like custom lighting and staircases.
Compressorizer! - Compresses your package files to save space for more CC!
Hood Checker - checks your hood for any signs of corruption
Hack Conflict Detection Utility - a handy program that can detect if you have possible mod conflicts. It’s still up to you on how to fix them, however
SimPE - If you want to mod for TS2, SimPE will be your BFFL. More info about this in a separate post.
Premade Hood Templates
If you play the premade hoods, I fixed up the base game templates to make the hoods feel more like an actual hood. For the EPs, you will need @meetmetotheriver‘s cleaned up Neighborhood templates. They are free of unwanted townies and has fixes for fucked up DNA and all that stuff.
Organization Folders
If you plan on using default replacements, @geneticized‘s folders can help you organize them so you don’t get duplicates/conflicts.
Essential Mods
Only bug fixing and anti-corruption mods included. Other recommendations will be in a separate post.
Basically all the mods linked here. These are basically mod that should help reduce the things that cause your hood to explode in a Big Fiery Ball Visible From Space
Pescado’s Director’s Cut - This contains a ton of fixes that reduce hood corruption (like No Unlink on Delete) and other annoyances.
No Corrupt Death
No Unlink on Delete
Crumplebottom Fix
Anti-Redundancy
No Townie Regen
No Dormie Regan
No SS Respawn
No Stray Respawn
BoilingOil’s Mods
No Sim Loaded - Automatically deletes things like gossip tokens what will cause the game to lag when left in there. It’s the vaccine for the notorious Super Duper Hug Bug
No Trash Memories - Prevents things like gossip memories from being generated
TwoJeff’s Mods
Bug Fixing Mods
CyJon’s Bug Fixes - I suggest downloading all the mods in this link, then the following mods before.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Most of CyJon’s mods require Smarter EP Check to be installed.
No Auto Urn Cleanup - prevents sims from cleaning up urns.
Cleaning up urns = deleting tombstones, and deleting tombstones = Very Bad Thing
Basically don’t mess around with graves.
Memory Fixes
There Can Only Be One (Professor) - Makes the game only generate one professor per major instead of two
Townie Apartment Residents - Uses townies to populate your apartments instead of those pesky social group sims.
@simnopke‘s Sky Fix and Sim Shadow Fix
Next post will be dedicated to some “nice to have” mods, lighting mods and all the things needed For the Aesthetic.
I'm in the process of creating s lore-vanilla game for the most part and because I don't have the time to extract every single file from past sims games, I'm taking the time to create some video games and flesh out some lore in the Sims Franchise. This is Simlish Castlevania, as you can tell - it's not at all perfect, but, I'm really happy with it and I'm going to be using it on various objects, as well as the logos I've included (Langraab Industries, WrightWay Games, a subsidiary of Wrightway Toys which has been acquired by Landgraab Enterprises).
Please feel free to use on any CC recolors for posters, cases, etc. - just tag me, I'd love to see it!
