To answer your question...
The cows were given their freedom by @danjaley and can be found here. However, you have to have the Store version of the cows before you can use the mod.

CAS Island. This is an original world for the TS3. In my game it loads in under a minute. I designed it to help you create sims fast add your money and skill cheats and then send them on their merry way to a home in another world.
To install add the world file to your downloads folder in mydocuments/electronic arts/The Sims 3/Downloads.Than add the custom content folder to your mods folder. Run the launcher and install the world like any other world.
