Morning, everyone. Dane caught this cute photo of me, scrolling ya’ll’s Tumblrs in my most favorite place in our house a few minutes ago. I have zero motivation to get up and start my day and then go run a business that requires constant interaction with other people. I’m still really upset about last night’s blow out with dad. Rach has been quiet all morning, too. She’s normally up and going for a winter run at 6am, and she didn’t crawl out of bed until 7. We drank a cup of coffee downstairs while watching the morning news and discussed Eli staying with us. We’re just going to post him up in Dane’s room and naturally Dane will sleep with me. After Rach left for work, I immediately came back upstair to curl up in my “spot”. I love my room. I have it set up just perfect. My bed is surrounded by plants to symbolize the life that is all around us. My favorite blanket my mom got me as a child on one of her random, magical photography adventures in another country. Some music. Two windows above my bed, opened, to let in fresh air. And lavender scented candles to promote relaxation through the sense of smell. My bay window has a lovely built-in padded bench that I often sit in and read or watch the neighborhood. I just love my room. It’s my safe space. My comfortable escape.

Some days are just hard to get out of bed for. And as much as we don’t want to, sometimes life and duty calls and we have to. Sigh. How do you guys find motivation to get up and “do” when there seems to be none? I’m still piecing together my thoughts and processing the play-by-play from family dinner last night to share with you guys. Wish me luck today. Kisses, Ray

I haven’t been feeling too well today, so after we picked up lil’munch (we started calling Arrow that because he wants to munch on EVERYTHING fabric) and I did some work and wrote earlier’s blog post about our adoption story, we ended up falling asleep for a good while. It took Rach coming in to tell me that people were starting to come over for the NYE party that I finally woke up. Arrow did well with people as long as I carried him everywhere. And he kept wanting to munch on long skirts and pant legs, xD. I love him. Happy New Year! Kisses! Ray

HI. HELLO! I’ve decided to start a NEW SIMBLR. I’ve always enjoyed Sims stories, and I’m wanting to try my hand at it, and I would love to make some new Simblr friends! Right now I’m on generation 1, which focuses around the life of Rayla Jade Hays, a 23-year-old small business owner embarking on an interracial relationship, a difficult family, a strained relationship with her twin sister, and trying to help her teenage brother get through his teenage years in one piece. 

I have a ton of storylines plotted out in my head and which directions I see each of the characters--main, secondary and supporting--heading. I also will be open to WCIFs, to the best of my ability. I’ve been playings the Sims series since the very first game release. I’ve always made up stories in my head, so finding CC and the Simblr community is such an awesome joy! I’ve been playing TS4 since it launched in 2014, I have every expansion, all-but one gamepack and a handful of stuff packs.

¡Hola! from Selvadorada (I)

First trip to Selvadorada as adults!

Now that we live together, Nixon and I have decided to take over the Jungle and conquer every part of it. Our first trip to Selvadorada is a special one, it has to be! While we were getting settled at the camping site, we received a call from mom announcing Héctor and Pierce’s engagement! They’re getting married next autumn and then they’ll move back in with mom and Rosa to help mom with the vet clinic. Hopefully, they will also instil some sense into Alma, this girl is gonna get lost if no one stops her.

Anyway! Off to a good start, right? Our first day there was magnificent, as it was Selvadorada’s National Day. We got dressed, danced to some Latin music, and had a couple of Espuma Agria and bollitos while under a very flaming hot sun. I think Nixon wants to grill some fish.

Off to eat now, tomorrow we’ll start investigating.

I found it strange that when kids/teens write in their journals they don’t gain any fun (so I changed it so they do). Bookworms gain even more fun ;)
