Welp... remember when they "fixed" the jewelry genetics bug?

New bug just dropped, unfortunately. Same exact problem, but now it happens when your sims use the "Keep style" feature on the styling chair from Get Famous. 🤦‍♀️

Here's the comparison photos from both tweets: before shots on the left and after shots on the right.

Just a PSA, you might want to avoid using the "keep style" function on the styling chairs for a little while. If you have the same issue, be sure to upvote/interact with the thread on EA Answers HQ.

Practice Makes Perfect Sims 4 Trait

As a warning to others, since the last update, sims that have the "Practice Makes Perfect" trait can cause multiple last exception errors. At first, just when you log into that household. Later, the whole save. Removing the trait from the sim will correct all of the errors after you save the game, exit, & reload.

I spent yesterday thinking it was a mod conflict or an outdated mod issue. It wasn't. I can confirm I've had this happen in two different saves now.

This may not be an issue for everyone. Just be aware - if you can't find what is causing the last exception - check if you have any sims with the "Practice Makes Perfect" trait. This appears to be true in my game as of October 5th, 2024.

am i the only who just recently i could solve most of my problems by checking the 'recent tuning logs' in the better exceptions report? like i swear plz tell me i'm not the only one. shout out to simmers on reddit for saving me (hopefully) from this tunable perf error.....

Your regularly scheduled PSA for fellow white simmers...

When you make or download a reshade preset or a skin blend or PS action, etc. Can you please test them/be aware of how it treats darker skin tones?  And if you make stuff, can we all make sure that our stuff doesn’t lighten TF out of dark-skinned sims?  Like, sims 4 lighting sucks for sure, i can’t even play without reshade (i use Love Shade Vogue by @hazelminesims <3) so I get wanting to lighten the game, but we can also make sure we do so without turning dark skinned sims into light skinned sims!  If you only turn your reshade on for screenshots, or you do most of your editing in PS or whatever, try to choose your skin tones with those things on/done so you can choose a skin tone based on what it will look like at the end.  and of course just... remember to make black and other POC sims in general! Yes, even if you’re white, you CAN MAKE BLACK SIMS (just don’t be racists POS with them?? obviously??) -- Does anyone have a link to the discussion about this happening here on simblr a few months ago? I can’t find it.  PS: good cc skintones for black and dark-skinned sims can be found here and here.
