Hi Hazel!

So I’m obsessed with the artistry of your sims, and the screenies you post of your stories. So I’m using your preset, but was wondering how do you get your sims to look so smooth but yet sharp if that makes any sense! I see in your resources some of it is post processing in maybe something like photoshop? Or do they look that incredible just raw in game?

Hiii! First..your screens already look amazing..sims..everything!! And thank you so much!!!

Some of it is my PC and some is reshade. I use the "smart denoise" shader and in my current preset I use these settings for a little extra smoothness:

The preset I am using now isn't posted. It's an amalgamation of my preset with some settings inherited from some of my favorites.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I looked into my folders to find the sim dump gshade preset, and I realized it's not the one I thought I'd made, it's actually an edited version of someone else's gshade preset. Their TOU doesn't allow me to reupload it edited so I thought I'd let you know. Here the link for the original: Original Preset

1. It's perfectly fine not to play Sims (or any game) the "way its meant to be played". If what you enjoy is decorating living spaces and creating sims, then that's what you should do! There shouldn't be any pressure to do all the other bits "just because". 

 2. I am completely the other way around, lol. I am on my 9th generation and have very rrely played with any other sims than my original family (on the blog cleoplaystoomanygames). I almost never decorate houses

3. I really like your screenshots of your gameplay, they look very different from most other legacies/challenges I've seen on tumblr. ^^

You’re absolutely right. I don’t feel any pressure to play in a certain way. Not because of the Sims community at any rate. I’m a little sad I’m not experiencing all the game has to offer, though, which is why I want to try to do more actual gameplay. I admire your dedication sticking with the same family line for so long!

Hey, love your blog! Would it be possible for you to tell us exactly what changes you made to your GraphicsRules file and what they do? I’m torn between using yours or SimpSetters by Simp4Sims! Thank you :-)

Hiii... I remember most of what I changed, which was not a lot. Just forewarning because for whatever reason, I forgot to save the original from the last update.

I keep my settings on the highest available, so I only updated the lines that coincide with the max settings in game options.

Lighting quality - changed shadow size for larger shadows

Object quality - using LittleDica's tutorial - changed to use the bigger textures to get rid of blurriness. This number could be 2048 (2K) since most creators don't go beyond that. I just decided to use 4096 (4K) in case some do.

Sim quality - changed texture sizes to allow 2K and the minimum LOD.

Even with my graphics card (RTX 3090), the sims did not look as good until I changed these things. I tried using Simp's settings, but after a lot of experimenting (and jacking up my game), I found I only needed to change a few things to be happy with how my game looks.

Hi! I'm sorry to bother you. You have very beautiful screenshots and visual, can you tell which gshade preset you are using? (Sorry, I'm writing from a translator)

Hi - Thank you!! it's a personal preset... a mix of a few favorites.

It started off as my Luminescent preset and then I started experimenting and adding things I liked from Sumahama and Sforz's Birdie preset. Several of my recent screens are using Plantyl's Airy V2 preset.

Whenever I try a preset, I add the Immerse RTGI shader in the mix and Smart Denoise.

Is your screenshots only taken with gshade or are they edited outside of the game ? If they are I need to deets , your screenshots are beautiful .
