So... instead of using the colors I had so carefully put together.... I instead redid all of the swatches from (what was in 2022) the current colors available. I whittled it down a lot!
Included is a S4S palette (correctly tagged), .ase swatches, photoshop actions (made in CS6, uses vibrance layers), a tiny swatch you can include in previews (if wanted), and a text file with hex codes and lots of instructions.

I have made a bunch of recolors for myself so far with these actions. Mostly walls and build items, but some other stuff like curtains and clothing. Most walls & build items are sitting in my sims4 download folder (no previews yet) - I'm really trying to get the motivation to take proper pictures and post about the stuff I make.... Oh well.
PLEASE @ me and/or tag if you make recolors with this!! I would love to see them! :D
porcelain gleam ; a metallic palette by caelhinn 〰
porcelain might be fragile, but it’s a statement. i’m bringing you twelve swatches of iconic – as well as my favourite – metals. for all types of jewelry and more ; porcelain gleam has got you covered!
So basically I’ve had this idea to have maybe a few more colors for hair? (54 doesn’t seem like just a few in hindsight...) And that’s what led me to creating the Janky Palette!
I’ll be posting hairs soon (the first one being next week wow) and they will be using this palette instead of the WMS palette.
PLEASE READ BEFORE DOWNLOADING:
This post contains severals parts such as swatches for S4S and Photoshop actions for recoloring things within this palette, so read the instructions under the cut properly.
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
Janky Actions:
The ATN file provided includes all 54 colors from both the Naturals and Unnaturals, so that everything is all in one place.
These actions are intended to be used on the EA “silver” hair color, so if you have either a child/toddler hair or a piece of cc that isn’t hair, you can either use an action from an EA colors palette or colorise it to match before using the action for the recolored result to look accurate
Janky S4S Palette:
In order to optimise recoloring (because 54 swatches is pretty tedious), I have made a S4S Palette file for the Janky Palette, which can be imported into the Palettes folder within the Sims 4 Studio folder in your Documents folder. They come pretagged with the EA hair colors so that the game recognises them as the appropriate colors but it lacks the color tags used for clothes and accessories, as this palette is intended for hair. However, feel free to add those tags if you see them fit.
Tagging for Random:
I would like to add that S4S’s palette tool doesn’t save whether swatches are enabled for random or not, but what I usually do is enable the naturals (which includes the greys) while disabling the unnaturals for random. This is so that townies can spawn in with natural hair colors without having a blue and pink hair craze (because well, I’m not really much of a berry simmer xD).
However, if the hair is not enabled for random from the beginning, then don’t enable the naturals for random either, since that would make sense?
This took entirely too long to put together. 3 years ago, I screengrabbed all the different paint colors for the Magnolia Homes paint collection available here. I made a list of all the hex codes so I could easily use them when I was using the CaSt tool in TS3. (If they have added more colors in the meantime, I don’t care bc there are too many colors in this palette already, lol)
I recently started playing TS4 and wanted to recolor some walls using (some of!) these colors so I figured I would turn them into swatches and everything just snowballed from there.
The colors are all tagged properly in S4S - I just tagged them exactly as they were classified on the original website. Creams/Beige are Light Brown and Tans/Browns are Dark Brown. A lot of the colors don’t really look like they fit those categories (some VERY blue greens, for example) but that’s not my fault. There are a number of colors that are very close in shade, and at small size they look almost identical.
I suggest you make your own copies of these palette files trimmed down to just your favorite colors because.... seriously.... nobody needs 10+ shades of off-white.
Included in the zip file: S4S palette file, .ase palette (Adobe & others), .afpalette file (Affinity products), preview pic, and a spreadsheet that has the name, hex code and classification of each color.

A credit and tagging me would be appreciated but is not required. Cuz I’d love to see what you make :]
i only noticed the irony of the name once i was done making this palette. i present the cotton jar, my own denim palette and all the future denim items i’ll make will be made using it. it’s nothing special, but i decided to share it with you in case you would like to use it as well.
here is another palette made by yours truly for you guys! today i bring you in plain sight, a beautiful nude palette. of course i tried to catter to as many skin tones as possible without making a billion swatches. i hope you’ll enjoy it!
a big thank you to everyone who helped me tweak this palette. 💙
