Where was I? Oh right, what happened next shook me to my core! After our lovely date visitng the gardens, Gray asked me if I would run as wolves together. As nervous as I was, I knew the answer was yes before I could utter a word.
We walked together deep into the woods beyond the gardens of his house. Once we found a nice clearing, we looked at each other for a second awkwardly. I told Gray that I would change just ahead behind some bushes. He looked relieved and said he would stay put. Both of us seemed to feel the same, changing from human wolf was a deeply personal act.
As we stepped out from behind our respective bushes, I was stunned. Gray looked like ME!!! We shared the exact same patterns on our coats and the same green eyes. Gray was a bit darker than I in color, and he was taller and more muscular. But other than that, we looked exactly the same! I was completely shocked. I had only seen one other werewolf in my entire life and he didn't look like me at all.
As a wolf, I couldn't talk. But I didn't need to. As I stared at Gray, we both stepped forward to get closer. As I kept staring at this wolf in front of me, I couldn't breathe. It felt like I knew him. It felt like he was part of me. It felt like he was my.....fate.
He stared back at me, and somehow I knew he felt the same. We stepped closer until we were close enough to nuzzle each other with our noses. He sniffed me as he buried his nose into my neck, and I sniffed him back, filling my head with the amazing and wonderful scent of him. He's mine...I couldn't help but think.
As we kissed and nuzzled one another, he suddenly stopped short and looked into my eyes. There was that twinkle that I had gotten to know and love and in that instant, I knew I loved this wolf and I would until the day I died. That twinkle grew and before I knew it, he pounced and we started to roll around on the ground, playing. As I finally freed myself from his romping, indignant he was able to get me off my feet, I gave him my own twinkle.
Before he knew it, I was off in a flash. He might be bigger and stronger, but I was FAST. He started to chase me and I ran into the woods determined to win this race.
