☄: What you think of your Muse
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t hopelessly enamoured with Gar-Tei. He’s a big, loveable goofball with a serious side, but when it comes down to it he’s a simple guy with simple pleasures. He’s also a bit of practice for me in writing something not completely serious— I personally feel I’m strongest with writing things that deal with angst, or “the feels”, or heavy subject matter. I’m not strong with writing silly, cutesy stuff, and I get a lot of work on doing that with him, because he’s just not serious most of the time.
✤: Favourite kind of food!
Gar-Tei’s love of food definitely is inspired by my own. I’ve always said that if all else failed in life, I could try a hand at becoming a food critic. Or just professional food eater. Really.
My favourite? I don’t know. I have a lot of favourites. I love mac and cheese and can’t give that up for anything, but growing up filipino meant that I grew up with rice. And I love rice. I still eat it almost three times a day. I can’t stop eating rice.
Noodles are good too. And meat. I’m a die-hard meatatarian. And anything dairy. Because milk is delicious. I love cheese. Cheese is great. I also really, really love mushrooms. Cheese and meat stuffed mushroom caps is one of my specialty meals I can make. Noticing a trend here?
It’s probably easier to list what I hate, at this rate. Which involves potatoes (I ate them almost every day growing up, and I hate fries. Eugh.), eggplant, bittermelon, okra, and dinuguan. That’s… about it. Most other things I’ve eaten, I’ve taken a liking to.
