I love how Kirito just forgot all about his complaints of the sun as soon as he was reunited with Eugeo, and of course Eugeo is just as delighted to spend time with Kirito. Can't blame them after all the trauma they went through in Underworld. There's clearly a lot of chemistry between the boys.

Actually this story happened in a non-canon game and they literally don’t know each other, Kirito is his past ALO self and Eugeo is already a Knight and also some kind of timeline jumper who just wants to go back to his original world.

But yeah if you know in any versions of SAO regardless of whichever versions Kirito and Eugeo are, they click with each other right away every time they meet. Now that’s super special for sure.

I wonder if the new sao scan tells us more about Kirito than it does about Eugeo. I mean they could've just put ghost!Eugeo in the pic with a hand on Kirito's shoulder, but they didn't. Is this how Kirito remembers Eugeo, in an intimate way?

My Japanese translation and reading comprehension is pretty rough, but I'm pretty sure the text to the right says something to the effect of Eugeo being in his mind while he's like that. 👀👀👀

I'll leave you with that so as not to spoil anything but I definitely agree- he's got Eugeo on the brain.

When did you first realise that you had feelings for Kirito?

Well…um…I don’t…it just…I guess during our time at the Swordcraft Academy…suddenly I realized I just…really enjoyed his presence…>#< ...he’s also cute

Regarding your post about Eugeo being waifu material, there's the part when he was reminding Kirito of the planned picnic with their trainees on their day off, and then Eugeo rebuked Kirito into agreeing to wake up earlier than suggested. He's a bit like a strict spouse. Also on a unrelated note, when Eugeo was trying to wake up Kirito and ended up pulling his blanklet away, Kirito seemed to be quite cool with Eugeo doing this to him lmao.

Oh yes! In their first days in the Sword Academy (until this point they’d been traveling with each other for 2 years) Eugeo acted a lot like Kirito’s supportive spouse: he woke Kirito up in the morning (by gently caressing Kirito’s cheek, and when that didn’t work he pulled the blanket, and yet Kirito was cool with it and totally not cranky like when his sister Suguha or Selka woke him up), he went shopping with Kirito and even mentioned that he brought ALL of his own money for Kirito when he needed to pay for his black sword. Kirito even mentioned during the flower garden scene that during the journey he didn’t have money and didn’t know the way to the cities, so he also had to rely on Eugeo, not just the other way around. 

Fast forward to a half year later when both of them have Tiese & Ronye as students, Eugeo clearly became a stricter spouse who’s less tolerant to Kirito’s tardiness: he berated Kirito for ditching his duty just to go buy food, frowned at Kirito for always jumping outside through the windows, yelled off at Kirito for trying to ditch their planned picnic and then successfully got Kirito to agree to wake up early. Yeah spouse material, indeed.

Well, the only one capable of acting normal because he knows humans very well. :D Maybe he should tone it down or he’ll become suspicious...

But you know, his “normality” reminded me of a scene from one of my WIPs, where Boaz and Natla have trouble deciding what is okay and what is not okay anymore:

Neither me nor Muller had an eye for that. Karel also vetted any official business that would be seen by public, the Sanitarium had to appear legitimate on the outside...”

“The Nephil was in charge of PR?” Natla spluttered with laughter.

“Who would you expect it to be?” Tina gave her a wry smile. “The man who painted the walls with his victim's blood? Even I consider that disgusting.”
