A/N: As it would turn out, it is very difficult to write fluff with Bloodmoon while keeping him in character. I did my bestest, y'all. Set during the arc where BM was working for Stitchwraith. Bonus points if you can figure out which twin's lines are in bold and which are italics. ;3 Requested by someone on Wattpad who wanted fluff with Bloodmoon

Summary
After surviving an encounter with the Bloodmoon twins, you find yourself getting much more comfortable with them over time than you ever would have anticipated.
Warnings
Normal Bloodmoon warnings, but also abnormal Bloodmoon warnings bc fluff? Written so long ago that Bloodmoon still has a twin, setting at the start is really iffy have mercy TwT If you happen to see any wild formatting errors pls lmk, as this is one of the fics that I've brought over from my Wattpad acc
You actually never meant to get close to Bloodmoon, and vice versa. The two of you met by complete accident, when he was out looking for something to do as the Stitchwraith had suggested.
By the power of sheer dumb luck, you heard them before you saw them. Snarling to themselves, they were lamenting about always being a tool.. plans to get back at Stitchwraith for keeping them on such a tight leash (a metaphor, surely)... and how much they resented that he would not allow them to kill anyone. That last part got your attention; as fascinating as you found the two voices emanating from one (seemingly animatronic) body, you were not about to test their resolve to obey someone they seemed to hate - at least, that's what you'd gathered from their conversation.
Unfortunately, you slipped as you backed away, resulting in a mad scramble to right yourself that drew their attention to you instantly. By the time you were on your feet, they were already standing there, seemingly deciding what to do with you.
"What's this?"
"Little spy.."
"We should dispose of it accordingly..."
"Ugh.. the Stitchwraith said we could not.."
"But what he doesn't know won't kill him... unfortunately."
You began to panic as they stalked closer to you, desperately racking your brain for something, anything to do or say that would get you out of this... And then you remembered their conversation.
"WAIT-" You cried, throwing up your hands just as they looked about to lunge.
They stopped momentarily, pausing in maniacal, mechanical laughter. "Aw, the little prey speaks! Are you going to beg for your life, Human? It won't matter, but we'll let you try; the ones who try to reason are always more fun to rip apart..."
You froze in place for a few seconds, reasonably terrified. You knew of only one, desperate option that might be able to save you.. just maybe. Keeping your hands up in surrender, you dropped slowly to your knees, ".. You guys are sick of being controlled by other people, right? I-I heard you... You said 'it's about time we were the puppet masters'.. So.. let me work for you? I-I'm worth much more as a servant than just another body, right...?"
There was a scoff and then a long bit of silence. Were they discussing something in their head? Did they do that? You weren't sure, but you stayed silent and kept your head down, afraid that you would look up and find nothing but malice regarding you.
After an agonizing moment or two that felt like centuries, they spoke again. "Mmmm FINE, you will serve us. Ours to command.. Don't ever think differently, wretched creature... Betray us and we won't be so kind again."
You breathed an immense sigh of relief, not realizing then just what you'd signed yourself up for.

For a while, it was exactly as one would imagine working for the Blood Twins would be. You quickly discovered that they didn't actually know how to be in charge of someone, nor had they ever actually given any serious thought as to what they would have you do... So, mostly, you just followed them around whenever they were out, listened to them rant, and tried not to have a heart attack whenever they would show up at/in your home without warning.
They weren't kind to you, by any means - they enjoyed your squeamish reactions to their excessively vivid tales of gore, the way you shivered slightly when their clawed fingers would "accidentally" brush your arm, and they were always quick to remind you how easy it would to get rid of you should you cross them, and the hundreds of horrible ways they could do so - but they never actually hurt you, so you slowly but surely grew accustomed to their presence.
As for how they felt about you... well, you were more interesting to them than they ever dared let on. You were just a human; you shouldn't be intriguing at all beyond your ability to produce blood and potentially a mildly entertaining, easy hunt... But there was more to you than that, and it annoyed them to no end that the longer you "served their will", the more they began to see it.
For example, you always asked how their day was every time they saw you, without fail. Was it largely out of habit? Sure, but that didn't change the fact that no one had ever just asked them that, and if they had, it certainly wouldn't have just been for the simple sake of knowing. You always listened to their answer intently as well; even if you'd only asked the question to break a bit of silence, you would nod along to their answer, quiet as a mouse as if you really were interested... They never would admit it to themselves, but that was kind of priceless.
You were just a human. There were roughly eight billion others like you... They knew that, logically. They'd gleefully disposed of hundreds, maybe thousands of others like you... But at the same time, no one was like you at all. No one they'd ever encountered had ever treated them like they were somebody and not something straight away quite like you did... And from this realization, a sort of quiet appreciation was born.

So far, whenever the twins have decided to call upon you, it's nearly the same story each time: they were feeling particularly outraged by their seemingly permanent position as a tool, and needed you around as a verbal punching bag to remind themselves that they were in charge of something - that 'something' being you. It's not nearly as harsh as it sounds; mostly, they just rant to you while you sit around and listen. You feel a bit bad for them honestly... Though, that feeling usually subsides a fair bit whenever they start back in on how they would gut you if you ever begin thinking of betraying them.
In all fairness to them, you know they haven't really ever been in a nice situation. From what you've gathered, they were made by another animatronic to basically be obedient attack dogs, nothing more. With that in mind, you've learned to take their harsh demeanor with a grain of salt, so to speak... and to not be to insulted that even after months, they still seem to be under the impression that you're going to run, or sell them out, or try and kill them somehow.
You wonder vaguely sometimes why that last part bothers you so much.
Today isn't like normal, however. Yes; they did barge into your home and scare the daylights out of you as you were washing dishes, yes; they were upset about something this "Stitchwraith" character had done, and yes; they re sitting and borderline yelling next to you on your couch around a cup of O-.. but as they're finishing up their rant about a child they were demanded to watch, apparently called "FC", terrorizing them whilst they could do nothing about it, they redirect their attention to you directly for a change, as opposed to the usual dynamic of you being their (more willing than they know) captive audience.
"... What do you think of us, Human?" One of them piped up randomly. "Really. If you had a choice, which you do not.. would you still serve us?"
Well that's... a question and a half. Would you? You don't know what to make of this sudden inquiry or what could've prompted it; they don't often ask for your opinions at all, and when they do, it's seldom for anything serious, and certainly nothing like this. You find yourself thinking more deeply about it than most probably would've.
"Well... If we'd met like most people, which I assume is what you mean.. Then I probably wouldn't 'serve' you-" You can practically feel them about to warn you for your audacity, but you press on quickly, "-but if the way things have been is all 'serving you' entails.. then I imagine we would be friends, yes."
Crushing silence settles over the three of you, and your anxiety slowly mounts. Was that too presumptuous of you to say? It wasn't inaccurate; everything you'd done thus far while working for them was typical friend behavior. So why were they looking at you like you just gave them a crisis-?
"... We do not have 'friends'," One huffs, almost defensively.
"Wasn't suggesting you did," you clarify swiftly. "But you asked 'if I had a choice'.. That's the best answer I've got for you, unless I've completely misinterpreted the question."
They're quiet for another long moment, and you get that same feeling that you'd had when you first met them - that they're having some internal debate among themselves. Finally, one of them speaks again. "..... You would... be our friend? For what?"
You blink owlishly. "What do you mean, 'for what'?" You echo, mildly perplexed.
"Why?" They ask in unison.
Ah, another question and a half.
"You're awfully invested in my opinions and motives all of a sudden," you respond, careful to not seem defiant in your deflection. "What gives? I'm still just some person."
They don't seem to have an answer for that one, and after more tense silence that you can only assume is only silence to you, they launch back into their series of complaints from before. You shake your head a bit; these guys are the most emotionally stunted beings you could've hoped to meet. Just as you're settling back into your rhythm of well-placed "mhm"s, "dayum"s, and nods, they do something you never would've expected: they flop over suddenly mid-rant, laying their head in your lap and continuing talking animatedly.
You freeze, stunned, dumbfounded, flustered? You're not exactly sure. You can hear the smirk in their tone as they carry on, acting like they haven't just openly and purposefully initiated nonviolent physical contact. What are they on today???
After about five minutes of you having to remind yourself to breathe, they address the situation - well, sort of.
"Something the matter, Human? Yes.. their little heart rate is elevated~" They snicker teasingly, not nearly bothered enough to move. "Do you have a problem?"
... Y'know what? No. Just for that, you don't feel like letting them have the last laugh tonight. You fix your startled expression into a calm, unbothered one. "Nope; I'm fine! Carry on."
They laugh a little, and you're suddenly very annoyed at how you've grown to find that sound endearing, despite it almost always being at your expense.
"Are you sureee?"
"Of course," you offer casually, even doubling down, "If you wanted to sit like this, you could've asked way sooner."
~Timeskippe 3 (Last one this chapter I promises TwT)~
You hadn't known it then, but that would mark the beginning of a weird little flirting contest with Bloodmoon. It was petty, passive aggressive, prideful, and almost elementary at times, but it was also really fun, you found, and even led to some.. unexpected emotional developments on both ends.
You didn't realize it until late one night as they were leaving when they thought it would be amusing to bring one of your hands up to their faceplate, pressing it to their "lips" with a quiet kissing sound... You had been honestly expecting to be bitten or something, so the complete shock made it worse (or better), heat rushing to your cheeks immediately as they left, cackling diabolically.
That was when you realized that they had their claws in you in a very different way than originally anticipated.
On the flip side, the twins were begrudgingly mildly impressed at how well you'd learned to tolerate them. Even outside of the little game between you, you were adapting to their shenanigans remarkably well; you were all but immune to their gory stories, they couldn't intimidate you with closeness anymore, and they found outright threatening you... not as pleasant as it initially had been.
As one would probably be able to guess if they'd known the twins for more than five minutes, it took them far longer to realize their sentiment towards you was changing, and even longer still to admit to themselves that it was growing.
The moment it became undeniable for them was when they decided to turn up at random about a week ago in the pouring rain, mad enough to commit war crimes - not to suggest that they'd need to be angry for that - and barged in your door. They were fuming more than they could put into words (the fault of the Stitchwraith and FC, of course) and were just.. standing there, trying to control an overwhelming wave of bloodlust and rage...
And you walked up and hugged them like you had good sense.
They had frozen stiff on the spot, code screaming at them.. but the shock quieted it just a little bit... At least, they tell themselves to this day that it was shock. Their clawed hands had trembled slightly at their sides before coming to rest on your back lightly - that was how this.. "hugging" business was supposed to work, wasn't it? They couldn't even understand why they were trying.
You had held them like that for longer than necessary, but they'd never voiced a complaint about it, ranting instead like normal about what had gotten them like this. All the while you listened sweetly like you always did. That night was when they knew that they felt something more for you, something they couldn't even begin to get their processors around.
... It was still just part of the game, right?
