If it's not a problem, can we get more information about Dream and what is he's doing now? Not just it's been very little info on him (atlest on Tumblr) but I've been very curious since you revealed his design and how regal and fancy he looks compared to nightmare which is who you would expect to have a royalty theme. I bet he might be miserable and probably overworked since is like something every version of dream has to through lol.
Also if im not mistaken his circlet is broken right? Poor baby :(
Dream in TSDS has a lot of normal Dream’s characteristics still, but it’s a little bit of a different take on him.
TSDS!Dream is what happens 450 years after the time period Underverse takes place in.
Ink, Dream, and the first Swap had been working hard on keeping the multiverse safe and peaceful. The multiverse was hopeful, brimming with positivity every time their saviors came to rescue them from Error’s wrath or Nightmare’s agony.
This constant influx of positivity, love, and hope, meant that it was even *easier* to defeat Nightmare or Error whenever they went toe-to-toe.
He barely even had to work after a hundred years. Spent most of his time greeting people, keeping up morale, holding the position of Great Protector that everyone admired while Ink and Swap dealt with other things.
That was the case for a long while, until Error grew tired of being unable to do what he was supposed to do.
So what does Error do?
He decides that if he can’t have what he wants, nobody can.
He deletes the core timeline of Classic Undertale, the original. As soon as everyone watching over the Multiverse got word of his attempts to do this, they rushed to stop him. An enormous fight ensued. Error lost his sight, blinded by magic-corrupting ink accidentally flung off of Ink’s broom. The Stars lost their original Swap. Yet, Error succeeded. Classic Undertale is no more.
The multiverse immediately begins corrupting outwards from the site, some timelines glitching, some timelines loading incorrectly in the code and causing things to fall apart, and eventually they begin to collapse inward on themselves.
This is how we got things like FTM trans Vile(Swapfell). His timeline was one of the ones that was generated incorrectly after the corruption, causing his whole character information to have been jumbled around and miscoded. Incorrect gender being the main point of that.
Now, back to Dream…
After Error’s crashout on Classic Undertale, the multiverse CRASHED into unfettered negativity and despair. Dream’s power is suddenly much harder to access now. He’s rushing around with Ink and their new recruit Blue, trying to rescue the victims of collapsing or corrupting timelines. Trying to inspire more positivity and rescue those who would become casualties.
So, essentially, TSDS!Dream is a Great Guardian King that became complacent and had the rug ripped out from under him. Now, he’s scrambling to save all those caught in the crossfire. He’s terrified, he’s in pain, but he will do whatever it takes to save as many people as possible.
