I've been working on the portraits for each romance option. I want a portrait of each RO to appear when you are browsing their profiles in the menu. So far, I managed to complete Will's. The art is not completely clean, but I just want to ensure players can get an idea for each character, and I'll update them as time goes on.
Next up will be Nico!
Hi all, it has been a busy weekend after the launch of the prologue! I am releasing patch 1.1.2 today and that will add another choice to the helicopter conflict so those who wish to roleplay a more passive or support based character, you now have that opportunity. I also fleshed out the choices when reporting to Will so it can be a bit more immersive. Other than that it is just a few grammar corrections and some rephrasing done here and there to round out the patch and make the prologue quality better.
As for chapter one, progress has been made on that front. I have added around 1,2k words to the chapter on Sunday and I am currently at 30k words for the chapter so far. I have an outline for the chapter but the amount of variables in the different backgrounds players can choose from is proving to be quite the challenge.
For those new to my blog or haven't seen past updates, this is what to expect in chapter one:

You read that correctly, the prologue has been sent to my beta testers. They will be testing the game and putting it through the wringer to ensure that the major kinks have been worked out so hopefully when I go live to the public you can all have a smooth experience.

Hi all, firstly I would like to thank everyone who has followed, left a comment and rated my game (Here and on the Itch.io page). It really means the world to me, I can't thank you enough for the love you have shown my demo.
I have received some feedback (if you wish to leave your own please click the link and I will review and implement yours as quickly as I can) and fixed the stat problem that would have shown up if you were switching between the menu and a passage that increased an attribute. You should be able to freely navigate the menu and game without increasing your stats now. The UI should also trigger as intended, for example Nico's character profile being added notification.
What's next?
I will be concentrating on fleshing out a few of the scenes, adding another choice to the Helicopter confrontation and ultimately working on chapter one. Currently I have about half of the chapter written, the entire chapter has been outlined, and I want to spend time writing and getting that ready for release. I can't promise I will be fast as I work full-time but I can promise to keep my page updated so my progress can be tracked.
Other than that, I will keep an eye out for feedback and make sure to get fixes up as promptly as possible!

The last portrait is ready and placed into the demo for friday! Everyone will be able to see what the three ROs you meet in the prologue look like. A notification will go off to alert you to when their character profiles have been added in the game.

Hi all, I have some great news!
So this week I was pleasantly surprised by a huge influx of followers and eyes on my project. It really made me happy and it also got me thinking. I realised that I could split up chapter one into two parts.
Right now chapter one is really large and while I wanted to keep it all together because of a planned cliffhanger for chapter one, I think it would be smarter to split it up so I could release sooner and get feedback.
I am not very confident in my coding, I am completely new, so I think releasing the prologue and having people read and test it would be the best option so I can see if what I am doing is correct.
Therefore, I am busy coding the prologue now and if I keep at my current pace then I will be releasing either next week or the following. I have some beta readers and I want them to test as much as they can before I go public.
Thank you for everyone following and encouraging me, I hope I can bring you something you can enjoy as much as I enjoy writing it.
Hi all, it has been a long time since I have posted or given any sort of update. I want to apologise for disappearing, I came out of remission and my health was not the best but I return with good news! I am back in remission and I am feeling quite inspired.
Work is still super busy and my personal life is as well but I plan to do at least an hour of writing a day and the big goal is to release my demo with chapter one in November. I only have a few scenes left to be written and then I have to code everything.
I am not that confident in my coding abilities as I will be learning as I go but the community is filled with amazing resources that has already helped a lot. I just ask for patience as I work slowly to finally bring you chapter one.
Thank you for all those who have been lurking and keeping an eye on my blog in hopes of me posting. I hope I won't disappoint you and I can't wait to share my game with you all.
Hi all, time for my big weekly update! It has been quite a productive week for me. I have written about 9k words of content this week and slowly added it into twine. I am really happy with how the game is coming along.

The build is still being worked on as I am still working out some bugs here and there but I am pleased with how it is shaping up so far. The character profile pictures are just placeholders and in no way represent the characters at all.
I will continue to work on the game and hopefully bring you more good news next week. I hope you all are having a great weekend and stay safe.
