MEET THE ARTIST
Always drawn to the beauty of the sea and nature, Boston-born Susan Lister Locke mastered metalsmithing in schools and workshops in the States and Italy. She channels her passion, combined with inspiration drawn from Art Deco, Van Gogh, Klimt, and Cartier, to craft the most exquisite jewelry pieces worn by celebrities, public figures and others worldwide.
Susan, who was voted the coveted Best Jeweler on Nantucket in 2017, 2018 and 2019, designs her breathtaking pieces as works of art; beautiful, unique and timeless. She works with 18 karat gold and other precious metals, some encrusted with handpicked, vibrant gemstones scouted from across the globe. FEATURED PIECES
Susan’s love of nature is reflected in her patterns and designs. Her latest piece titled Stella Marina (Star of the Sea) is a museum-quality, heirloom-inspired bib necklace. This 18k gold piece shimmers with diamonds and other gifts from the sea. A large, diamond-encrusted starfish is the focal point, surrounded by sand dollars, smaller starfish, a turtle, a seahorse and gold coins aka, her signature “sea”quins, and finished with a finely detailed sand dollar clasp.
Stella Marina is the pièce de résistance of The Seaquin Collection, which features pieces also crafted in 18k gold and inspired by sea treasures including oyster and scallop shells, treasured doubloons and gemstones that reflect the colors of summer including Paraiba Tourmaline, multi-colored Sapphires, Australian and Mexican Opals, Tanzanite and Diamonds.
