Part 2 of the Sanders Sides oneshots! ~ You didn't realize that you'd fallen asleep until after you woke up. You found yourself wrapped in Anxiety's black hoodie. You briefly wondered how you got there, and then you remembered how your borrowing spree went last night. You must have fallen asleep before Anxiety did, because Anxiety was sleeping soundly on his bed. He had relocated you to the nightstand at some point, and you were grateful for that at least. Still, sleeping near him was probably the cause of your... interesting dreams. Anxiety groaned and immediately his eyes landed on you. "I see you're awake, Tiny." "Anxiety." You mumbled. He reached over and grabbed you, immediately pressing you against his face. "Mmmmm. But I wanna go back to sleep..." You squirmed uncomfortably. "Breakfast, first." you tried to bargain with him. "And your nose is poking my stomach!" Anxiety began rubbing your back with his thumb, which did absolutely nothing for you. "Very well, Tiny. But first, I have a mission." You winced. 'A mission' probably didn't mean anything good for you. Anxiety finally rolled out of bed and stretched, lifting you over his head. You squeezed your eyes shut and hoped he didn't drop you. When you were lowered again, you half expected him to dangle you over his mouth to scare you. But instead he placed you on the floor and started walking away. "Hey! Where are you going?" You shouted. "To get your breakfast, of course." Anxiety said. "Without me?" You yelled back. "Can't risk the others seeing you. You know how it is." He turned and walked away, of course with that stupid smirk on his face. You were not going to stay, of course. You ran to the door, then peeked out. Logic had just walked past, and there was no one else coming. You decided to make your way to the kitchen, as well. You were nearly to the stairs until the ground started shaking. Someone was coming up. You couldn't tell who it was, so you ducked into the nearest doorway. Disney merchandise of all kinds covered the walls and floor. This had to be Princey's room. Seeing as he represented Thomas' fanciful side, he wasn't particularly organized. You were about to check if the coast was clear when you saw a familiar-looking book on the ground next to you. "'The Borrowers'? I haven't seen this in forever..." you whispered. You flipped the cover open and skimmed through the first page. "This is just how I remember it!" Suddenly a shadow fell over you. You froze and sat up. Had Anxiety found you? How did he sneak up on you? He normally stomped around... You were suddenly scooped up by two hands grabbing you under your arms. You squealed and braced yourself, only to be pressed against the giant's face. "I knew you were real! I just KNEW IT! Oh, you're so precious!" You could tell from the cadence in his voice that you had been captured by the Prince. Wait, didn't he have another name? Something about noodles? Ramen? No- "Roman!" You shouted in realization. He brought you away from his face in shock. He didn't look quite as tired as Anxiety, and was dressed in a crisp white royal uniform with his usual red sash. "You know my name, little one?" You steeled yourself. After speaking to Anxiety, Prince should be easy to talk to. "I live here." you said. "Like in the books! Ah, you're welcome to stay, my small friend! I will not call an exterminator on you." he reassured you. "I bet the others would love to meet you, small one- Oh, where are my manners, I never gave you the chance to properly introduce yourself!" "My name's (Y/n)." You said. "And uh, I already met one of the others." You mumbled the last bit. "A marvelous name, perfect for someone as precious as you are! Oh, and who else knows about you? Perhaps Thomas or Morality?" It was at that moment that you both heard an annoyed scoff from the doorway. "There you are, Tiny. I've been looking all over for you." Prince immediately pulled you close against his chest, whirling around to face his counterpart. "Anxiety." His voice took a dangerous pitch. "The one and only. Don't tell me you want to keep my new friend. I found 'em first." he smirked. Prince stuttered. "I wouldn't keep them! Not in a cage like you would! That is the only way you seem to be able to make friends." he said. Anxiety and his aura of smugness took a step closer. "They'll tell you, there were no cages involved last night. Fell asleep in my bed on their own. They could've left at any time, but they chose to stay the whole night." he said. "They were probably too scared of you to leave, Hot Topic." Prince said curtly. You were beginning to wonder if the two were going to start physically fighting. Or worse, attract more attention. "Guys? Maybe you could let me go?" you asked carefully. "And not talk about me like I'm an inanimate object?" Prince placed you on his shoulder. "Of course, my itty-bitty royalty! After all, you borrowers deserve better that what you get!" Anxiety rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Fine, just steal my tiny friend. See if I care." He stormed off. Prince immediately held you again. "Don't worry, (Y/n). You won't have to deal with him any longer." You smiled, ever softly. "Thank you." "To keep him at bay, though, we might have to give him a little time with you, every once in a while. But fear not! I will protect you from him, if it comes to that." This time, you giggled. "I'll agree to that. Can we get breakfast?" Prince nodded. "Of course! Come along!" He tucked you into his pocket and started toward the kitchen.
