Crowley is a mess and yells at his plants, but he forgets that Aziraphale is staying at his place. The angel thinks he's in danger and walks in on him yelling. How would that play? (I hope this is the kind of request you were expecting XD)
Crowley antagonizes the plants when he needs to relieve stress. I don’t think he acts the way we see him acting towards the plants in the show 24/7. Crowley was EXTREMELY stressed when we saw that scene. I do believe that Crowley does actually destroy plants when he gets in a mood to, because again, it relieves stress, and it’s his opportunity to actually be mean and release any violent intentions he may have without actually hurting anything. He enjoys gardening and he takes a lot of pride in his plants looking good and performing well which is why tearing one apart when he’s stressed out helps him deal with it. Something he wants to be perfect isn’t being perfect and it’s a good avenue to send that irrational anger into. If Crowley is stressed enough to shout at his plants or even destroy one while Aziraphale is over, Aziraphale would probably be quick to figure the pattern out and ask him to tell him what’s stressing him out so they can see what they can do about it.
Healthy communication with your partner is important. So is shredding house plants to relieve a little stress.
