The first paddle of the summer and Norman joins me with the promise to him of a walk afterwards (after all, there are a myriad of smells to be discovered! ☺️). I do love beginning the day on the water with the birds and the other early risers. The rest of the day can be what it needs to be, but the morning is in many ways sacred, and when enjoyed in a restorative manner infuses an auspicious energy into the rest of the day. Yep, we SUP! I surprised Norman a bit this morning with our first paddle of the year. He is still contemplating whether or not the season truly has begun. However, quite the trooper and companion on the river. We said hi to a few birds and very little else. It was lovely. Today was bittersweet as today was our last day of paddling in the morning on weekdays. Teachers report back tomorrow with classes beginning next week.
