You will have three weeks, until May 26th, to sign up as an artist and/or beta. We want to give you ample time to decide/spread the word!
Hope to see y'all there! Please share this post if you know anyone who might want to participate. We are, especially, always in need of artists. Thank you!!
Thank you for signing up for the TSSBB 2024!
As a reminder, we're doing things a little differently this year. We're letting writer's sign

Summary: "Now wait a minute Virgil, let's just try a rehearsal with Roman. Just once. If you hate it, you don't have to do it ever again,' Patton reasoned.
"There is no way in hell I am doing anything with Roman Prince."
Logan adjusted his clipboard. "Why do you feel the need to say his whole name every time?"
"That's beside the point!"
Roman threw his hands up exasperatedly. Virgil waved him off, deciding to ignore him. There was no way this was worse for him than it was for Virgil.
"Just once," Thomas said. "Just one run through the show."
Virgil sighed. He pinched his nose. "Fine. Once."

This fic was written for the @sandersidesbigbang ! I had a ton of fun with this event and got the opportunity to work with two amazing people!
@loganisanobody was my beta reader and artist. This fic would not be the same without their help with the storyline and I can’t thank them enough for their beautiful art.
@zombiesandbells was my artist. She is so talented her art absolutely blew me away. I think it beautifully captures the scene and gives so much personality to it.
Thank you to both of my partners and the amazing people running this event! I can’t wait to participate again next time.

Summary: In a seemingly perfect world where death is controlled by Scythes, an unlikely team must face their own morality and corruption as they hunt down a rogue assassin threatening to unravel the system.
Two infamous Scythe twins are known for their more creative ways of taking life. Another has taken it upon himself to glean the Scythes who get too cocky, known only as Scythe Lucifer. One gleans with kindness and sympathy. One with apathy and logic. And at the center of it all, the mysterious and cunning High Blade, who has orchestrated the mission to stop the 'Orange Scythe' by any means necessary.
We've decided to do sign-ups and claiming this year. Based on participant feedback:
Writers will sign up before artists and betas. Their sign-ups will be open for 3 weeks. From the point they sign-up to the official beginning of the big bang, they will have time to write the first half of their fic.
Artists and betas will sign up 5 weeks after the writer sign-ups open. Their sign-ups will also be open for 3 weeks.
Please note:
From the point writer sign-ups close, writers will have 5 weeks to finish half their fic.
During the 3 weeks artists and betas sign-up, writers will still have time to continue finishing the first half of their fic. We wanted to open up artist and beta sign-ups a little early relative to how much time writers have left to write to give people time to join, as artists, especially, are often hard to come by for big bangs.
Summary: Roman and Remus Crowfeather had been borrowing in the witch's house since before they could remember. With no parents or others of their kind they were alone, which was fine because they had each other. They looked after each other, they didn’t need anyone else.
And of course, that was when a rather annoying brownie fae who went by Vee (and nothing more, supposedly) came into their life. Another tiny resident in the house was certainly an adjustment to the twins, and despite the brownie’s friendship with the bean who owned the house, they were able to remain hidden.
That was until, one fateful day, an exiled leafman arrived at their door seeking shelter and safety. The twins had never met someone like Janus before, but he had sustained injuries they couldn’t heal and bore a curse they couldn’t break - even with Vee’s help. So in the end they have to break the one law they knew of their people and turn to Patton and his partner for help. Luckily for them, the witch isn’t exactly the squishing type.

This fic was written for the Sanders Sides big bang! More about that in the author’s note.
Hi all! For those of you who did not join us in 2023, we wanted to let you guys know that we're going to be trying something a little different for this year's big bang.
Based on feedback from our 2023 participants, we're going to have writers sign-up before betas and artists. They will also be required to have at least half their fic finished by the time betas and artists sign-up after a certain amount of time working on it. We hope that this will allow artist and betas to start their work as soon as they join the event.
Then, once that deadline has passed, we will open up sign-ups for artist and betas. Claiming will go like usual.
Edit: The required minimum word count for both one-shots and multi-chapters is 6k words.
All that said, writers, please let us know how much time you think you would need to write at least half of your fic in the poll below. This will help us finalize our 2024 schedule.
If you would like a rough estimate of our 2024 schedule, we're hoping to open sign-ups at the beginning of May, and close out the event in the beginning of September. Posting week will then be until the end of the September.
As a writer, how much time do you think you'll need to write at least half your fic?

Thanks all for your feedback! We hope to see you in the server/event again this year!
If you're new, welcome! Please don't let this change discourage you from joining, especially as a writer. Just meter your expectations and think about what kind of writer you are. We always love to see new faces.
We're keeping signups open until Monday 5/27 for betas, as we would like a few more. Anyone who signed up as a beta but has yet to join the server by Monday 5/27, we'll assume dropped the event. The same goes for the Artist sign-up form.
