“...hgggh...come on, you...lousy thing...get OVER here...!” Such was the voice that came from the rustling tree on display in the mall. With a look at the very top, one would see Eda, having climbed her way up with one arm extended out toward a snowflake, dancing gingerly before her, just out of reach, as if it was...taunting her? Indeed, this smug little snowflake had been the source of all of the witch’s frustrations for the better half of an hour, having evaded her throughout her whole thirty minutes of flight and now had toned its act down just enough to seem feasible to catch...only to dart away the moment before her fingers could snatch it up.
The Owl Lady was nothing if not persistent, though. She bided her time, lowering her hand, letting the snowflake think itself safe so it could drift back into arm’s reach, and...NOW! ...Nope, she’d missed entirely and had lost her precarious balance. Down, down Eda tumbled, fortunate enough that her one big fall was broken into multiple small ones, courtesy of the tree branches she kept smacking into the whole way down. She finally came to a stop on the floor of the mall, face numb and limbs thrown askew in a rather humorous fashion.
After a moment of silent seething, she let her eyes wander upward, spotting a bystander who seemed to have witness her cartoonish accident. “Hey,” she grunted before a word could be spoken from the other. “You help me catch that snowflake, I’ll let you take the reward for turning them in. I don’t even care anymore- I just wanna make it suffer afterward.”
