What's your views on Christmas? I've grown a steady not-quite-hatred-but-disdain for it since I've always been too poor to be able to get anything for the people I care about or receive much from my family growing up. Dont get me wrong I like the spirit of the holiday, bilut the ever growing capitalist undertones are steadily ruining it for me.

Eh, holidays in general are easily manipulated by society to make people feel a certain way, and if you don’t have the “normal” stuff they preach like a “Family” or “Money” they make it seem like you are less than others or destined to be less happy.

THAT part of any holiday is BS.

But the spirit behind it, the kindness, the friendship, the goodwill, all that stuff IS worth being happy about.

But yeah, I totally feel you on this. And it’s okay to just not be happy about the holidays at all.

That said, if it feels like that weight is becoming too much, please reach out, because people do care about you. ❤️

A good chunk of the blogs I follow are either blogs that feature dresses like THOSE... or heavily goth inspired clothing.

I live comfortably between a “Elegant” and “Sassy Punk” aesthetic.
