k so he is a physics and she was a oncologist (with a fiancé,but he didnt know that at the time) studying to enter medschool when they first met in class

one day she sent him a email and he learned she was a oncologist with a phd (he tought she was just a student without anything,yknow?)

at a party my school offers they got together first time and kissed and he said it was the best thing he ever got in his life (he's 40,i guess? kinda sad if you ask me) and they loved what each other did and stuff 

until her ex-fiancé started calling her in the middle of the night,saying he (the ex-fiancé) was going to kill himself and she would call my teacher crying and stuff and they got a lot of stress in their relationship

so he said to her "resolve things with him" and they distancied from each other and she married her ex-fiancé

while he's now alone,teaching a bunch of airheads
