as for the question of how much wool it took... a fair amount but also they’re like 3 and a half inches tall so not too much. a protip when doing needlefelting stuff is to just do the base shape (so in this case the head and body) in white, bc you can get a bunch of white wool for cheaper then any other colors

@tsunflowers i super hope they keep going at least for the play. honestly despite the cursed subject matter they just have some of the best chemistry in terms of best-friends-hanging-out-energy ive ever heard on a podcast and I really want to keep hearing them riff on bad fiction from my childhood forever. Plus I really want to hear them talk about all the wild shit that goes down in cursed child, I remember just reading a plot synopsis to my brothers who were not even invested in hp and they were on the FLOOR

@friendlytroll it really is like its so wild how everything in the apocalyptic state of the world and every running storyline in the franchise's news has all come crashing down together in chaos right as they read the 20 car pileup that is the final 2 books. They literally could not have timed this podcast better im in awe of the arc

i told flowers i would group by season, so i did... here is the spreadsheet

disclaimer: i think i got all the events mostly in order but if i fucked up in summer someone tell me and i’ll fix it, half of them are untranslated or happened last year when i wasn’t playing so i don’t remember

i was gonna do a text post and then realized how long it got so instead i’m gonna do like a quick. “read these events from each season to know what the fuck anything is”

all the flashback events are important. except maybe rocket start but that is 100% just bc i don’t. care about trickstar. the timelines on these are screwy but imo it’s best to read them in publication order, so it goes marionette -> magicians assemble -> rocket start -> checkmate -> crossroad -> meteor impact.

spring: main story, rainbow, resurrection sunday is kind of stupid but enjoyably so and i know you love rei, so, go ahead and read kaoru getting ritually sacrificed on an altar, band ensemble is the best school festival story but they’re all fun enough, duel has good arashi content, purple wisteria makes me mad but is good, secret labyrinth might not be translated all the way but it is hilarious

summer: hero show/supernova, milky way is the best tanabata story but all three are good, pirates is peak hilarious rei content, quarrel fest, air ride isn’t much plot but it IS hilarious so whatever, vacance is fluff but eichi and rei get called some lord of the flies motherfuckers by yuzuru in the first chapter so it’s fine that nothing happens imo, aquarium and shinsengumi are both incredible

autumn: rebellion was in the anime but is still quite good, robin hood gacha is really cute, tsukimi live is a lot of everyone killing keito and therefore peak content, scroll of the elements had good ryuseitai content, all four halloween stories are fine but i didn’t much care for the knights one bc it was more trickstar drama, school trip is a transphobic mess and sucks but blood banquet is like. fine, saga is in autumn iirc and destroyed me emotionally but isn’t translated i don’t think

winter: all three starlight festival stories (not to be confused with starry night fest) are great, the original is knights and it is. some rude shit., christmas live is the stupid shit i’ve ever read in my life and i love it, cats and camellia is about a cat cafe and is perfect, daikagura is about everyone being mean to keito again, eccentric is a weird gacha but is about the oddballs all being a bunch of idiots in a diner so i do recommend it if you want to read abt wataru being gay about rei, setsubun made me incredibly mad at rei but it was extremely good

“next” spring: the two tetora gachas, “four beasts of fistfighting” and “beasts”, have similar names, different casts, and exactly the same ability to turn me to dust. beasts especially changed my life. bouquet of desire is really cute and soft arashi content... it’s what she deserves. all four repayment festival stories are like watching car crashes, but are generally pretty good, my personal complaints aside.
