while ishigaki wasn’t the kind of girl that was heavily into anime, she still liked the mainstream ones that a lot of people watched as children. it was weird to be into such cheesy, childish things in highschool -- most people would tease others for it, but she kept this secret locked up tight. anything that she wore to school wan’t allowed to have any form of anime merchandise on it, nor was she allowed to be caught borrowing drama cds off of her other ( closet nerd ) friends. she wasn’t one to judge people for these sort of things, but she was also the type of girl that already had her wedding planned out years in advance. she absolutely could not let her silly hobbies make her look foolish enough that no man would want to date her. ishigaki did her best to seem bubbly & kind when around her classmates, while in private she could ramble on like a total dork about the shows she liked.
walking through the electronics section of a local store, she was on a search for a new pair of headphones to replace the ones that she misplaced. though . . . while she was passing by the tvs, she heard and oddly familiar theme song playing in the background -- ‘ Shiny Make up 輝くよ 星空を集めてただ護られるだけの か弱い存在じゃないわ だから Shiny Make up 戦うよ 星空を護って’. looking over to the tvs, she immediately recognized the song -- a bright smile overtaking her features as she finished off the rest of the lyrics along with the song. “新しい伝説が 今ここから始まる La La Pretty Guardian SAILOR MOON.” jokingly, she held a peace sign in front of her eyes and winked, mimicking the pose that the heroine did. though, once she did so, a figure caught the corner of her eye & she immediately froze up. ishigaki’s head turned slowly in horror to see one of her classmates staring directly at her.
it wasn’t someone that she knew very well, but familiar enough that she knew he was from her homeroom. she could have sworn she heard a shattering sound, probably from her heart. quickly, she composed herself, using her hands to pat down her skirt, then to brush a strand of hair behind her ear nervously. “if you could forget you saw that, please do.” she said in a small voice, immediately turning her back to him.
