Impostor Syndrome (Ft. Beat)

OK so I feel like this is possibly the fastest anyone has developed impostor syndrome. I have been redrawing @cholerascum 's art for like 4 days just to practice and I already felt like a fake.

I chose her art for a reason though because I heavily relate to most of her comics, her art style is genuinely just really pretty and works well for my brain (I drew the last 4 of these without reference to prove to myself I am actually learning to do more than just directly copy stuff), and I did try some others along the way and for whatever reason it just didn't click in the same way for brain to understand.

You really should check her art out if I haven't glazed it enough yet she's also a really fucking cool trans woman and who can say no to that?

I still ended up getting proportions a bit off but decided it actually kinda suited the comic and I kinda like the way the style ended up?

I also have a lot of other complicated feelings about my art that I'll maybe make more comics about cuz this kinda did feel cathartic and I am actually proud of it. I considered colouring it but I was a little nervous I'd ruin it cuz I have no experience with colouring stuff.

Also thank you to Beat, one of my wonderful headmates, for talking sense into me, I have a little bit of a tendency to spiral without noticing and she has been more than needed for a while.

Doing this didn't really like, "cure" the impostor syndrome but I do feel a lot better about it after making my own original stuff, even if it's still based on Cholerascum's style (fr look at her art if you liked this at all. It's great, and I'm not just saying that because I feel like I am stealing her style)
