Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna: 6.5/10

Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum: 9/10

Divya Drishti: lmao-wtf-is-even-happening-this-show-is-fucking-bonkers-i-love-it-so-much/10 (This show is just beyond the realm of being assigned a numeric value of any sort. It defies the concept. As does it any established rules of science/life.)

I don’t think you asked for Western TV, but I have to say that was blown away by Killing Eve, Chernobyl, and Good Omens. All very different shows, but absolutely 10/10.

DJ/Arsal/Jiya: My beghairat bachche! I could watch them and their shenanigans all day every day!

Sherry/Huma: The only voices of reason among this madness! AND SO STINKIN’ CUTE I CAN’T EVEN…….

Shanno/Jalal Phupa: So problematic, but so so so fucking funny!

Billo: She annoyed me quite a bit at first, but I love me a lady who plays all the men around her like a fiddle! We stan a queen.

Bijaan/Naeema/Agha Ji: Bewildered and fed up of the idiots around them creating ainvayi ka drama; sass masters of the first order!

Nazaakat: Has his moments, but is mostly annoying.

Masooma/Jamshed: Annoying af, pls gtfo.

Randos like that autowaala from the first ep who threatens to thrash Arsal with his Peshawari chappal/Chutki Baba/Arsal’s friend Yasir/DJ’s Aqua Buddies/the taxi driver who stole Pekhawar-waalon ka saamaan/Joji/etc, etc.

Kinza: Ugh. Manhoos. Y do you even exist. Dafa ho jao pls.

Barun, KVB, Nakuul and Kunal: rank according to acting capability.

Barun (just has extraordinarily bad luck/choice in picking projects; the man CAN act, but I suspect I will only really like him as Arnav and nothing else.) > Nakuul/Kunal (each have their own strengths but are about par these days. Nakuul in romantic/emotional scenes without much dialogue; Kunal in emotionally charged scenes with a lot of dialogue esp. loud angry monologues.) > KVB (I love him, I do, I’ve been watching him for literal decades now, since his turn as Saloni’s BF Kabir in Just Mohabbat. He has immense screen presence and is hellaaaa likable both off-screen and on, but his acting is rather one-note no? At this point, he can only really play flamboyant spoilt brat/psychopath.)

Rank the 6 ( 7?) leads of Ishqbaaz in terms of their screen presence. Not chemistry or anything else, but just screen presence. Try to be objective. :-)

Rate the main 6 on IB regarding their acting.

Surbhi, Shrenu: 10/10 (Emotional, dramatic, comedy, whatever… You name it, they nail it. Let down by the writing of their characters sometimes, but still turn in an absolutely flawless performance.)

Nakuul: 8.5/10 (Very good, especially at romantic scenes - best of the 3, but falters occasionally in emotional/comedy scenes by overdoing it.)

Kunal: 8.5/10 (Very good, best in emotional scenes of the three, needs to work on romantic scenes though.)

Leenesh: 7 (Best of the boys at comedy, hands-down, but needs to work on emotional and romantic scenes.)

As you can see, the three boys as a set, really make up what they might lack as individuals. They also play off each other really really well.

Mansi: 7 (Competent actress, especially in the last scene of yesterday’s episode. I see that. I do, but the writing fails her terribly and makes her an unlikable character. Completely not her fault. Hard to give her a fair score objectively because this is the only character I’ve seen her as, and it’s the only way I can judge her.)

Hey TT! How would you rate Nikita Dutta as an actress?

I haven’t watched Haasil, but I really really liked her in EDKV. Quite the measured and dignified performer. She’s not a MUST WATCH performer for me, personally, but I am definitely encouraged to check out shows that she’s in (depending on the content.) I'd give her a 7.5 on 10.

rate according to acting ability; shivangi joshi, surbhi chandna, jennifer winget, krystle d’souza, shrenu parikh, aditi rathore and divyanka tripathi.

Okay, I don’t know how accurate or fair these ratings can be, considering I haven’t watched most of these actresses in their most defining characters. 

Shivangi Joshi (haven’t watched her as Naira; just as Aayat in Beintehaa): Eh, like, 4/10? She’s very pretty, but she doesn’t really come across as a particularly strong actress. I have no real interest in watching her. 

Surbhi Chandna: Given the right material, 8.5/10. Easily one of the best performers on Ishqbaaaz; but alas, I’ve forgotten the last time I was truly impressed. I’m sure she’ll do this upcoming double-role well too, except I am already expecting the character to be written as the worst of stereotypes, so… I don’t think I’ll enjoy it. 

Jennifer Winget (haven’t watched her as Maya in Beyhadh; I’ve watched her as Sneha in KZK, and a little bit as Ridhhima v 3.0 in DMG): On top of her game right now, no? Without even really watching her as Maya, knowing her potential, I give her 9/10. I’m really looking forward to Bepannaah as well! 

Krystle D’souza (haven’t watched her in EHMMBH; just as Sakshi in Ek Nayi Pehchaan): Something about her is just so very likable. I wish she appeared in more shows that were interesting to me though. 8/10. 

Aditi Rathore (haven’t watched her as Avni in NK, just as Preeti in EDKV): Eh, 5/10. Neither here nor there. TBH, I was really surprised she got a solo show, coz I didn’t find her particularly interesting in EDKV, but that could just be that her character wasn’t really one of importance. 

Divyanka Tripathi: N/A, haven’t watched her in anything.
