A Study in Blue and Green
A precise macro composition focusing on form, texture, and natural color. Resting upon a single blade of grass, a Common Blue butterfly opens its wings completely, revealing a rich, iridescent blue surface framed by delicate white fringes. Through the tight compression of a 100mm macro lens, the fine, tufted textures of its body are rendered in sharp relief against an organic, completely de-focused green backdrop. It is a quiet celebration of symmetry and the minute wonders of the meadow.
