You know, if your dwarves are delving too deep it probably means they lack enrichment. Try giving them a puzzle feeder or something.

Dear wizard,
You have won the mage's duel. Please take your invisible knives out of my bones.
Absolutely murdered by the character sheet I was just sent
Screw dating apps, I need to go on an adventure and fall in love with the nerdy wizard that joins my rag-tag group of friends after we save them from an evil king's dungeon or some shit.
I will say this only once; if you voted for Trump, this blog is not a place for you. Fuck off, end of sentence.
I recently got a cat, and me being me, she is named Vecna.
I chose the name primarily because
1. I whole-heartedly believe she will take over the world someday
2. Vecna is an ESA and if her job is to keep me not dead, I feel like naming her after a necromancer is appropriate
3. Naming a 3lb kitten that was returned to the shelter for anxiety after an ancient evil is the peak of humor in my mind.
What I had not considered with this name choice was the number of times I would be entering my room and asking "Vecna, are you hiding under my bed?"
Anyway, this brings me immense joy.
So I was talking to my little brother, who's the DM of a campaign that's starting next week. I wanted to check in and make sure that all the random stuff that I was sending him about my character (ie: they can only really cook two meals, they used to love making chainmail, etc). And he talked about how my excitement for the game was so reassuring, because even though he's relatively experienced as a DM, he is worried that people don't actually want to play. Which resonated so much with me as someone who DMs a lot. I think a lot of us worry that people don't actually enjoy the games we run, and players showing excitement in tangible ways is really helpful.
So I guess this is your reminder, if you're a player, let your DM know that you are hyped for sessions. If you're a DM, remember that your players are probably more excited than they let on. It can be hard to show that you love this game so much because a lot of us have been socialized to not talk too much about the things we love.
Desperately need to GM a game again
Time to gather the courage to reach out to some college friends and see if they'd want to play.
