I am looking for a ghost writer and honestly I am not sure what a ghost writer really does. If you could reply to me with a description of what an actual ghost writer does it would be helpful.
Generally, ghost writers are professional writers who write books, articles, papers, screenplays, etc. for others to publish/use under their own name. For example, many celebrity autobiographies are ghost written. The amount of involvement of the ‘author’ varies from project to project. A ghost writer may have notes and some interviews to build from, or there may be a drafted work which they rewrite, and many scenarios in between. Generally the idea is that a professional writer works for a high profile person, company, label, etc. as an uncredited entity and public credit for their work goes to someone more recognizable. On occasion, even fiction series are ghost written with an outline and stylistic guidelines to increase productivity of a popular series.
On the lower scale for ghost writers, sometimes writers are hired to comment on blogs or write product reviews anonymously or as customers to boost credibility, positive feedback, and (hopefully) sales. Additionally, sometimes students hire ghost writers to assist in writing formal papers, entrance essays, dissertations, etc. And, some political offices use ghost writers to draft correspondence and response letters, speeches, and other documents.
Hope this helps!
