Updated Nea ref sheet! I made some preeeetty major changes to their design, so I’ll go over those as a mini character design rant!
(Character designs over the years, 2023-2025)
The biggest change I think was their colors. While I do not dislike their old palette by any means I don’t feel it suited their character. They’re meant to be a very high energy anti-hero (some may even say evil wink wink) (this joke doesn’t go through if you don’t know the comic name) and thus I wanted pretty bright polarizing colors to not only make them stand out in the places I know I’m gonna put them but also to portray visually their personality.
I also worked to simplify the design and make it more stylized not only for ease of me drawing them but for visual interest. I aaalso made their shape language much more triangular and sharp again as a visual signifier of their personality.
Their palette is also semi-inspired by a rainbow macaw- closest irl thing to angels in terms of like literal physicality is prooobably birds (yk with the feathers n all…) so I’m using them as a reference!
