Sodor vs The Hurricane:
Sodor rarely had Hurricanes, however, when it does happen. It's utter chaos, Many engines must face the powerful winds and heavy rains, having to take cover or help people from towns that are close to the ocean, taking them to higher places. Many people and even engines suffer dreadfully, some may even... die from the Hurricane.

[1965]
Jack absent-mindedly dug away at bits of the old coarse dirt. Byron stood nearby, having levelled out the section Jack was working in.
“Make sure you get everything!” Byron ordered. “They can’t pave new asphalt over uneven terrain!”
“Isn’t that Buster’s job? Rolling the ground smooth?”
Byron glared. “He comes in after the asphalt has been laid.”
Jack rolled his eyes, and went back to clearing bits of dirt in preparation for the new road.
The belting of two horns made them both jump.
“Slow down you idiots!” Byron snapped.
“And crawl around like you do?” Max retorted. He and Monty cackled as they sped past.
“The nerve of those two.” The bulldozer growled. “Why can’t they do what I tell them? They’ll listen to Kelly, but never to me.”
“That’s because you boss us around.” Jack said, bluntly. Jack had no sense of fear, which Byron did respect in a sense. Here, though, it just irritated him.
“My only aim is that our work is done thoroughly and with precision. Not to mention, I do just as much around here as anyone else. Perhaps even-”
“Oh please not the ‘most important’ charade again.” Jack groaned. “Besides, Kelly does plenty of heavy lifting, even if they’re not always on site for a lot of the work.”
“Miss. Jenny doesn’t even put Kelly in charge, does she?” Byron continued. “They just assume the role.”
“Kelly doesn’t seem like that sort.” Jack countered. “If anything, they’re the main voice of reason around here.”
Byron huffed, and continued to sulk as Jack went about his work.
So I’ve been thinking, how would you change Jack and the Pack to differentiate it enough from Bob the Builder for Hit execs to allow it to run as its own thing?

Final oc. A road vehicle. And if you've read the replies on my most recent post you may already know about her.
Boba! The bus. She's a sweet, privately owned bus who works both with the railway and the sodor construction company. She's a hardworking bus, and specialises in transporting workmen to jobs around the rails and whatever the pack is working on. Alongside that she is completely mute, and relies on morse code (with her headlamps) and her horn to communicate. Despite how she may appear she can be quite spicy, sassing humans and engines alike when she feels insulted by them. Though she is a sweetheart with those she likes. Still completely willing to let her friends crash and burn and will only help with picking up the pieces.
Human and monster engine form.
And as a bonus image, a nice family portrait. Shout out to @gronkgal for correctly guessing all the bus children.
As can be seen, bertie is her mate. Their children take some elements from one parent or the other. Betty is exactly like her father, byrons a bit of a shy one, Bella is a sweet but brutally honest girl, and Brandon and bernie are still too young to be anything more than a pair of cute and curious boys.
Jack and the Pack members in their animal forms
No concept art for now, just brainstorming what the pack would be as animals in my Thomas & Friends AU.
Jack - floppy-eared goat with front loader wheels on his legs
Nelson - Tuxedo Cat with ballast tractor wheels on his legs
Byron - Texas longhorn with bulldozer wheels (obviously)
Isobella - dairy sheep with steam lorry wheels on her legs
Kelly - Friesian Horse with crane wheels on his legs
Alfie - British Shorthair cat with excavator wheels on his legs
Ned - Gyspy Horse with steam shovel wheels on his legs
Patrick - St. Bernard with cement mixer wheels
Max and Monty - bulls with dump truck wheels on legs
Oliver - large billy goat with excavator wheels
Now, since they are construction vehicles, I'm thinking whether it's necessary to keep the mechanical parts on them as animals. Jack's horns could be implemented as his plow, f.e, so no parts necessary for him . . . . . . I'll think about it.
So what dose jack and the pack look like then? Since there rare in the island.
fun wacky diverse fellas
