Shouldn’t animation be improving over 14 years, not getting worse? They look so bad, and if you scroll down to the comments on the youtube video

Those are just the first few I saw while scrolling down. No one is on board for this new animation style.

Maybe it was cheaper to animate it the way it is, but you’d think after shelving the OG Titans for over a decade they could bring them back and have them look good, especially since this is a fanservice movie to the max.

Y’all need to wake up and let go. TTG will eventually end and bc Titans as a concept & group is, has, and will continue to be done again and again comics, it follows that the same will be done in animation. There Will be a New Titans cartoon in the future. It may not even be the Wolfman-Perez lineup. (Personally? Love to see a Fab Five shorts series) Just remember to enjoy it for what it is when it DOES come around.

And mark my words. It Will Happen.

It looks like the DCAU Titans will be in here to some extent as well.

Maybe we’ll see Damian and Raven interact with Robin and Raven 👀👀👀

Look (and I know this won’t but happen but a man can dream) if Trigon is going to be a villain, both from TT and TTG, then I better get at least one call back to the finale of Season 4.

Raven: “Still believe I can do it?”

Robin: “Of course I do!”

Something like that, simple and obvious and to the point. I will riot if we don’t get at least one good robrae moment, because it really looks like all the characters from the OG series are going to be with their TTG counterparts and a lot of the dialogue is going to be pushed forward with the “serious” good version talking to their children’s show counterpart.

That movie was not great. Some laughs and a couple of good animation sequences aside, it was pretty boring. Really it just felt like an extended Go! episode with the other Titans used more like an “OH MY GOD LOOK AT THEM BACK THEY’RE SO COOL” sort of thing, rather than anything of substance.

The original Titans also didn’t feel like themselves. The only time I thought so was when 03 Robin was shaking Go Robin’s hand and telling him that his reboot self was a good hero in his own way.

I just had a dumb thought

If they’re bringing in all the different iterations of Teen Titans together, what if they had animated versions of the live action Titans there too? 😂😂

It’s never the software, it’s how you use it. Fosters Home was animated in Flash and it was Phenomenal. TTG, from the things I HAVE seen, does have some good stuff going for it & they know when to go Really Over The Top and pull out All the stops. Any medium of animation has its strengths and weaknesses and is going to have pitfalls and be Imperfect. But animators will do their damnest regardless.

With TV animation, it’s never going to be quite the same level like cinema (& even THATS gone by the wayside in some respects). So everyone needs to get off their high horse about a movie that is very clearly just meant to be a Fun Time to give all the fans who bitched for years about the first cartoon series what they wished for!
