Out of curiosity, how hard would you guys judge me if I said I recently got back into Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (the remake) and I may have developed a crush on Cortez?

Mario may be popular with the ladies. But me? This is more what I'm into, tee-hee~!

Has a strange sense of honor--could kill Mario and company if he wanted to since he's unkillable but doesn't

Surprisingly chill once you clear his boss battle and clarify you're only after the Sapphire Star

Goombella herself calls him "a big sweetie" in her Field Tattle about him after you've cleared Chapter 5

Come to think of it, he left a LOT of Toad-sailors alive (if not stranded) for an allegedly ruthless and cold-blooded criminal who's jealous of his treasure hoard...

I'm at the point where I'll skip the underground pipe to Keelhaul Key and take the Black Skull just for the excuse of spending more time with him!

Needless to say, I'm disappointed to have found next to nothing for Cortez on AO3. I may have to fix that in the coming year...
