Project TUBA CROC is going to be a rhythm game / adventure game hybrid in which players will embark on an adventure building a band and playing shows. Players will be able to purchase upgrades, new equipment, outfits, and other various things as they play through the game's story mode. The game will offer many unlockables for good scores on songs, as well as the option for players to create their own songs for the game.
This looks so fun. I love rhythm games so much, especially rhythm games with a lot of personality.
The more creative members of 4chan's community like to make concepts for strange and awesome sounding games. One of those ideas was a rhythm game with RPG elements featuing a crocodile playing a tuba. It eventually turned out that one of the creator's friends leaked the images on /v/, the game was just a programming experiment, and it became some sort of urban legend.
Well out of nowhere, some alpha footage of TUBA CROC has released with some placeholder songs.
While the main style of gameplay is inspired greatly by Pop'n Music, it's worth looking at just for the extreme change in difficulty.
So I don't know if any of you are familiar with Tuba Croc, but it was originally a concept for an indie rhythm game about a Crocodile who plays a tuba.

Design scraps were originally found by posters on /v/ who grew enchanted with the premise and it's mysterious development. Making tons of fan art and theories to what the game would actually be, but eventually the hype died down. Months later the original dev who had backburnered/given up on the project when a friend of his sent him some of the fan art. Intrigued the dev went to /v/ and explained how he had more or less canned the project. With overwhelming encouragement from /v/ the dev decided to actually go back to working on the project. Eight months of on and off twitter messages we finally have a sample of what we can expect from the game.
I'm always happy to see these fun quirky projects get off the ground. God Speed Tuba Croc.
