Its like being stranded
In a a sea surrounded
By nothing but waves of
Icy cold deep blue water
I don’t know how I got there
I don’t know why I started
Rowing the boat in the first place
When someone places you
At the centre of the bridge
Leaving you unsure
Which is the way forward
And which leads you back
To the burning forests
Whose black smoke
Has now tattooed your skin
And when somebody asks you
About your favourite colour
You suddenly forget the name
Every colour ever in existence
Every colour that your eyes
Have come across and relaxed
Even forgetting the hundred
Lilac dresses in your closet
When all your mind can draw
When not being forced to imagine
And giving the pen a free rein
Are numerous small circles
Drawn over one another
Of always being in a dilemma
To be yourself or to not offend
And never being able to decide
When knowing the difference
Between the right and the wrong
Does not save you from the
Picking the rights for you
The diagrams of overdrawn circle
Imprisoned in your mind
Caught between hazy smoke
When answering every question
related to a choice feels like
Walking a thousand miles barefoot
On a road that goes nowhere
Never being able to decide
And staying at the place
Where two road merge
Unable to move forward
Too stubborn to go back
