Day 87 of Writing Something Everyday
(365 Day Challenge)
You confuse me..
A puzzle that is hard to put together,
A case that's hard to solve,
A safe that's hard to crack.
The fact that it's tough means there's something important at the centre that I'm missing - that most people miss when they see you.
Most women seek fools gold out in the open, I seek the authentic and search through damp caves to find it.
The shimmer from the real sparkles, you know when you find it.
The fake fades and cracks, you don't know it's fake until you see it up close - dissipating into nothingness in the palm of your hand when you hold it.
My dear, the jewels you hold within you live behind the confined walls of flesh you carry.
Precious pearls, romantic rubies, heart of gold, soul of sapphire.
You are worth much more than this.

I skipped so much prompts from @wispy-wallfish list huhu I'll post them when I get around to writing them. But, am back since I need to get some stuff out hihi~ enjoy
Theme: Drip
Droplets of Agony
Beads of suffering descend
Uninterrupted, cold, constant
Craving for liberation
Plink. Plink. Plink.
Grueling affliction
Aching mind
Mayhem ensues
Plink. Plink. Plink.
Enraged thoughts
Throbbing pain
Panic rises
Plink. Plink. Plink.
Succumbing to agony
Thoughts quiet
Quintissential peace, emanating stillness
Plink. Plink. Plink
Its like being stranded
In a a sea surrounded
By nothing but waves of
Icy cold deep blue water
I don’t know how I got there
I don’t know why I started
Rowing the boat in the first place
When someone places you
At the centre of the bridge
Leaving you unsure
Which is the way forward
And which leads you back
To the burning forests
Whose black smoke
Has now tattooed your skin
And when somebody asks you
About your favourite colour
You suddenly forget the name
Every colour ever in existence
Every colour that your eyes
Have come across and relaxed
Even forgetting the hundred
Lilac dresses in your closet
When all your mind can draw
When not being forced to imagine
And giving the pen a free rein
Are numerous small circles
Drawn over one another
Of always being in a dilemma
To be yourself or to not offend
And never being able to decide
When knowing the difference
Between the right and the wrong
Does not save you from the
Picking the rights for you
The diagrams of overdrawn circle
Imprisoned in your mind
Caught between hazy smoke
When answering every question
related to a choice feels like
Walking a thousand miles barefoot
On a road that goes nowhere
Never being able to decide
And staying at the place
Where two road merge
Unable to move forward
Too stubborn to go back
my skin and i
you and your skin
you are one and the same
you should love it
since you can’t leave it
my skin and I
we do not like each other
my eyes scan in the mirror
they are not happy
there are days we get along
my skin and i
but days like today
we do not
we are far too much
and far too little
we are scars
not soft but rough
we are not beautiful
we are not ideal
days like this
i wish i could crawl out of my skin
i’m sure my skin wishes i would too
it wishes i would leave it
and i wish for that too
it’s days like these
my skin and i
we crawl into bed
in a shapeless form
and don’t leave until we have to
my skin and i
at best
we are enemies
my skin and i
oh how i wish we were friends
Woohoo, two day gap again so two mixed prompts from @wispy-wallfish ~ I tried my best to create a poem with the theme of delirium and degenerative incorporated. I might re-edit it haha
Shifting Shadows
Grappling with Echos
Slipping reality
Reminiscent habits
Hallucinations awaken
Deteriorating kindred
Karama unleashed
Unknown waters
Wanting release
Death surrounds mw
Move, it commands
Crumble, it demands
Remember, it beckons
