Taylor Stratford (Guardado) vs Ashlee Evans-Smith
Once upon a time, Taylor Guardado (3-1) was one of the top bantamweight prospects in the world. Fighting in TUFF-N-UFF, she compiled a 12-1 amateur record with wins over future UFC fighters like Ashlee Evans-Smith and Raquel Pennington and her only loss coming to Ronda Rousey. Then she hurt tore her knee up, got married, had kids and disappeared for like 10 years. But she came back in 2020 to make her way to the finals of the Invicta FC bantamweight phoenix tournament final, where she lost. Then she signed with PFL to compete in the women’s lightweight tournament and somehow fought her way to the finals, going 3-0.
Guardado will now face off with former PFL Lightweight tournament champion and two time Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison (11-0) in the main event of PFL 2021 #10: Championships this Wednesday (Oct. 27).
Felicia Spencer vs Jessica Eve Richer
If you’re one of those people that wants the women’s featehrweight division to succeed, you should be happy that Felicia Spencer (1-0) has dropped to 145. The winner of TUFF-N-UFF’s lightweight championship as an amateur, Spencer debuted back at Invicta FC 15 back in 2015 with an impressive win over Rach Wiley. With the UFC creating a women’s featherweight division and Bellator finally crowning themselves a women’s featherweight champion, there is now room for growth at 145 so that’s where Spencer will be.
Spencer will face Madison McElhaney (1-0) at Invicta FC 22 this Saturday (March 25).
Felicia Spencer vs Jessica Eve Richer
With Megan Anderson in the UFC, Felicia Spencer (3-0) is Invicta’s top featherweight prospect. Spencer has won 3 in a row in Invicta, 2 at 145lbs and finished two of her opponents. With the UFC and Bellator in the market for some life at 145lbs, Spencer has the youth, size, and athletic advantages to make a name for herself.
Spencer will face off with Akeela Al-Hameed (0-0) at Invicta FC 27 this Saturday (Jan. 13).
Jamie Moyle vs Jianna Denizard
Jamie Moyle (3-0) is looking like a standout prospect at 115lbs. She’s well rounded, has a good volume game that will win her rounds, and she’s pretty damn strong on the inside. She is facing a wrestling standout in Sharon Jacobson (3-1) this Saturday (Sept 12) at Invicta FC 14.
Aspen Ladd vs Maddy Simmons
Aspen Ladd (1-0) made a good impression in her debut with Invicta FC back in February. Showed a viciousness that not many girls have at 115lbs. She’ll look to continue the trend against Amanda Bobby Cooper (1-0) this Saturday (Sept. 12) at Invicta FC 14.
Felicia Spencer vs Jessica Eve Richer
Earlier this year, amateur Vegas promotion TUFF-N-UFF held a lightweight tournament final to determine who would get a contract with Invicta FC. The winner was Felicia Spencer (0-0) in pretty impressive fashion show casing some of the striking skills she has developed from being a life long taekwondo practitioner. Really happy to see Invicta making an effort to get these 155lb women fights.
Having gone 4-1 on the amateur scene, she makes her Invicta FC debut this Saturday (Sept. 12th) at Invicta FC 14 against Rachel Wiley (0-0).
Khalil Rountree vs Dylan Jahrling
I’ve been hearing a lot of great things Khalil Rountree (2-0). Bloodyelbow has him ranked as the #3 middleweight prospect. Pat Wyman over on Sherdog has him ranked as one of the top 10 prospects in any weight class. There’s rumors that he knocked out Anderson Silva in training leading into the Nick Diaz fight. Working with the likes of Wand and Silva (and probably Machida) only going to do good things for you in the long run.
Khalil Rountree will face off against Cameron Olson (2-0) this Friday (April 10th) on the RFA 25 card.
