We're going for values first over color and texture for now. I'm not sure I nailed it but I like that it's loose and blocky. I like the style but think if I wanted to stick with that I'd have to see what adding in textures would look like.

It doesn't read as the same cat but creating 1 to 1 vs creating something inspired by something is also another thing entirely. Proportions I think would be a good summary of that but also stylization. I'm not sure if light is different from values but it really feels that way, I do not know anything about the lighting.

HIYAH the coo-lest pigeon around this guy is the cream of the crop, the prince among commoners.

Just had a day dream about pigeon keeping. The elaborate and emotional tale of keeping pigeons and banding them so when they fly around in the day I can track them down if they don't come back in the two local pigeon bands. Had a dream one of my imaginary pigeons got caught up in one of those groups and didn't come home because they found another wild pigeon they just couldn't leave.

They fell in love with a wild pigeon and for all the treats in the world wouldn't fly back to me 😔. I had to play dirty and bring their ex lover pigeon from my flock to lure them down. Caught them returned them to my flock captive for a couple days. I noticed they were forlorn and sad so I did the only thing a pigeon keeper who loves their pigeon would do.

I faked their death, I faked their death in the pigeon registry and released them back to their wild lover. I think this is exceedingly bad real world pigeon keeper etiquette agshahsd but how could I keep my imaginary pigeon in absolute despair and away from their imaginary lover?????

The moral here is to have a rich inner world and develop your empathy and imagination even if it's fake.
