Presents I have purchased:
Lady gets: her big scratching post re-covered for the new year. A Shadow Claw TM if she wants it.
Tumble gets: a trip to the pokespa so he can look his best. Imported poffins (I can't make em for shit)
Eiji gets: a day fighting any pokemon / trainers we can find who want to battle. Also, a new tug of war toy.
Larvesta gets: poffins. I'm also redoing the fireplace so it can sit in it and smolder.
Lampent gets: scented candles. Despite not technically having a nose they enjoy lighting them. I am prepared for the house to smell like a candle shop. Also Z is coming home
Ninetales gets: a basket of oran berries left in the woods near her den.
Z gets: the frickin home remodel!!! also a months worth of ice cream.
H gets: a set of Unown pins. She's one step removed from a ruin maniac lmaoo
How do you think I could stop my brother's fletchinder from attempting to eat candles/put flaming objects in her mouth? We're both home during winter break and I'd love to be able to light a candle without having to monitor it 24/7 lol. Thank you!
I suggest metal candle lids with punched holes. Or a tall, narrow candle jar.
Gentle deterrence methods: spray bottle. I've got like four.
alternately, fletchinder are able to produce their own fire. Compulsively eating fire could be a sign of a flame sac issue. I'd get a Nurse Joy to rule that out
This is not a problem I had with Tumble - he just sat by the hearth forever and enjoyed the warmth. Comfortable bird.

Training with my father, I think there was a time he. took off my glove and got Tumble to land on my arm.
I only know for sure it happened because I have puncture scars? He was a Fletchinder at the time but he still had hella talons...

Oh yeah.
Tumble has the personality of a knight of old. He literally never stops wanting to fight. But he has a Code of Honor. Tumble doesn't fight babies. He doesn't fight underleveled wild Pokemon. He doesn't know any runaway moves - he's just a little shit and he'll refuse to battle anyone he doesn't think is a fair fight. That ~code of honor~ puts him over the top.
And he LOVES to be fancy. He preens people's hair. He fixes their outfits. He battles with flair.
He wants to be Itty Bitty's bird dad but the only reason he can't is Itty Bitty is uneasy around him... sad.
Normal and Ghost?

Normal: I live in a traditional-style house outside Ecruteak. We've got a big center courtyard. We used to have a zen garden there but no one wants to take care of it... we aren't very zen... now it's basically a training ground for the pokes. Sometimes I think about cleaning it up.
Ghost: Tumble learned how to open sliding doors and then taught Eiji how. I was having a peaceful sleep and then a houndour went BOOF right onto my stomach. I may have screamed lol
Runner-up: when Lady learned Infernal Parade : )
Tumble is helping me do laundry. He can match socks

36: Oof this is a good one. Of my current Pokemon, Tumble. It took a while to impress him, figure out his likes and dislikes. We're both very independent and headstrong. So it took effort from both of us.
40: Lady has many great qualities. My favorite is the way we've both grown together. She was very bashful (nature) and combative and liked picking fights when she was a cyndaquil. I was pretty similar lol. We've both mellowed out and gotten less desperate to prove ourselves. She's very self assured and elegant now. She's also a good space heater lol
