Found out today that my tuning fork is a few cents (unit of fine pitch measurement) deeper than normal when it's warmed by my body heat from being on a string in my bra.
When exposed to room temperature air, it returns to normal A=440hz, and I suspect in the cold it'll be higher than normal.
Therefore, a band who all use tuning forks would need to calibrate them all in the same temperature, otherwise they'd be off when they play together.

Text: “There is no such thing as possession,” I reassure the little boy’s parents. “He is simply out of tune.” I unroll my collection of tuning forks, and start to measure his breastbone.
I saw a video on 'Tuned Earth' tuning forks ( https://www.tunedearth.com/ ), big-ass versions of the usual, they are sold for mostly woo-related therapies but the sound they make is very relaxing; Thought I'd see if there was anything on YT I could post:
I'm only now stopped cough-laughing from drinking my tea at precisely the same time I looked a bit closer.
