What does it take to make a place a nice travel spot for you?
Ā Ā Ā Ā āYou make it sound as though I travel for pleasure. Time does not permit me that luxury anymore.Ā
Though⦠If I may reference the past, a nice travel spot, per se, typically depended on both my interests and limitations at the time. As a child, it was not my choice as to where I went. A place I enjoyed my time at⦠[purses his lips, choosing the most suitable wording] ⦠was usually somewhere that offered me even brief moments of escape. [sneers somewhat, as if to take a jab at everyone whose ever disturbed him] I liked my alone time, even back then.
When I grew older and traveled on my own, the story was much different. Heh⦠[lowers his voice and mutters:] Much sleazier⦠[Sits up a little straighter, brushing his hand down his jawline] The theme though, continuous from my childhood, remained intact until I got myself together; always I was trying to escape from whatever unpleasantries I suffered.Ā
[He sighs, of course, casting off the growing seriousness of his tone with a wave of his lithe hand] Ā Ā Ā Ā
Ā Ā Ā I do what is required of me now, even if it means Iām not actually free to roam. Thatās not to say the places I must visit arenāt nice. I find that each city and town I pass through have some shred of appeal that I can appreciate. Honestly, it doesnāt take much.Ā
