Has Dipper, in all his semi-omnicience, ever mixed up things that will happen with things that already have? Like if he tries to blame something on the triplets, then has to stop and ask himself "what triplets?" because they haven't been born yet. Or maybe sometimes he's talking in what he thinks it's is plain English but people are looking at him funny because what he's saying won't be 'plain English' for another millennium.
He does do this at times, but his omniscience tends to lean heavily towards current information, and less of a future-sight. Remember that usually, his omniscience is more like a library he can access, not a constant thing (though he does have those nasty info-dumps he can’t predict, and sometimes gets little flashes of information without reaching for it).
He also seems to have a bit of a blind spot when it comes to information regarding himself. So it would be pretty unlikely (though not impossible) for him to briefly regard the triplets before they’re born, but it’s more likely for him to randomly dissolve into a language that won’t be in use for another millennium.
Hi, I'm writing a book wherein the MC's uncle goes missing and, after 7 years, is declared dead. I was wondering what would legally happen after that. What would his family need to do and how would they go about settling his estate? Also, hypothetical question because I'm really curious, what would happen if he showed up again later on?
The uncle’s estate would need to be distributed. Is there a will? If so, then the executor just follows the usual process to execute the terms of the will, get probate, and distribute the estate. To be honest, if you simply google “what does an executor do” you can probably find thousands of informative articles that set out the exact process in any geographical area.
If the uncle doesn’t have a will, then the family would apply to the court to have an administrator appointed. This person is just an executor by another name. There are detailed rules about how “intestate” estates are distributed. If you go to this link, it actually sets out the different rules for BC. The process is the same once the administrator is appointed.
I’m honestly not sure what would happen if he showed up after his estate was distributed, if the beneficiaries didn’t want to give it all back! It’s an extremely rare situation.
Being greedy and doubling up my asks this week lol. would love some more YJ packs up and gets pupped if you've got the time <3
“I just thought, um, is this rude, or . . .” Suzie trails off, and Kon buries his face in so tight against her hair he nearly buries his face inside her hair. His arms sink into all her smoke and fog, and she lifts a tentative hand and touches his collarbone as she ducks her head in a little closer under his. Her body doesn’t feel the same as any other body Kon’s ever felt–feels like . . . water, kinda, all roiling depths and drifting currents, and more depth than there should actually even be. Like that, but–fog, or mist, or smoke, or . . .
He can’t really feel things like fog and smoke all that well with his TTK. Not, like–all the way through the shape of them, he means. He can feel Suzie way farther than makes sense for there to be anything there to feel, though. Like she’s bigger on the inside or something. Which, like–normally that feels weird to him, so like, he doesn’t really touch her if he can avoid it. Right now, though . . .
Right now it just feels really nice, that there’s so much of her there to feel. Right now it’s . . .
Feral Kon and liger pups please? 🙏🙏 It was one of the first wips I read when I found your blog and it has owned my heart ever since
"You're welcome, Father," Panthera says nicely, with a polite little curtsey to accompany it, because she's a very big cub now and has very good manners. And she did do really good planning for that, too.
"Truly your mother's cub, as ever, darling," Father sighs fondly, then gives Kato's fur a last rough ruffle before attempting to lift him off himself. Which is very silly, because Father knows Kato won't get picked up that easy. Even Gorr can't pick Kato up when he really doesn't want to get picked up.
Humans are really, really strong. And heavy.
Really, reaaaaally strong and heavy.
Thank-you sentences for turduckenail; Billy adopts Conner and it actually goes pretty good! (( chrono || non-chrono ))
“Yeah,” Billy confirms as Lynn watches him search through four stupid drawers one-handed with the plates all tucked in against his chest before he finally realizes there’s big spoons and spatulas and everything in a container on the counter and he’s just being, like, totally oblivious here, okay. Dammit. Okay, well–focus! He’s focusing! He is totally, totally focusing right now. “I dunno. He just believes in people. That people can be better. And like, even if he didn’t, he still believes everybody’s important. Like–not even valuable, you know? Just . . . important.”
Billy shrugs, because he’s probably still not doing a very good job of explaining it, but also who knows what Cadmus even said about Superman, considering they wanted Lynn to grow up and maybe, like, kill him if they didn’t like what he was doing, which is very weird and creepy and fucked-up, actually? And like, definitely not legal or including any sign of due process or whatever?
Not that it matters now, since Lynn doesn’t wanna do that and the guy in charge is getting due-processed himself right now, but still. Very weird and creepy and fucked-up.
I saw project sidekick on the list for wip wednesday and went for the ask button so fast I tripped despite literally only moving my mouse an inch?? No clue how I managed that. I just love them so much, they're brother's but they don't even know they're brothers yet!!! Please someone tell these boys they're gonna be okay and they're not as alone and unwanted as they think they are 🥺🙏♥️♥️♥️
“They could do something about that too,” he says dismissively, jerking a hand towards it. “Plastic surgery, some kind of spell, whatever. Laser off a few of the scars, add some different ones. Make me forget how to fight. Make me forget–make me forget how to fly.”
Wally wants to say the League wouldn’t do any of those things, but he can’t say they wouldn’t, because Kaldur’s right and they could still be sleeper agents on top of that and also–and also, Batman’s paranoid and meticulous and doesn’t leave loose ends, and Dick Grayson has a not insignificantly public face.
