There’s SOMETHING ODD about the job she’s taken. But what isn’t in a world like this? Sookhee thinks that the strange and the macabre always find their way into her lap, though Kinsley almost does fall into hers. They meet at the bar, at a place where she’s been known to haunt, and she wonders later, was it all intentional? Not many people are willing to take up jobs like this after all, not to dangerous places, sealed off from the world. But Kinsley carries with them a fantastic story, don’t they? One that pricks at intrigue, and more importantly, offers a clean cut of cash by the end of it, and who’s she to turn that down?
So off, off they adventure, down through the deep, dark woods...

Fingers glance over the etches on the wall ; the words that spell themselves out for her, how Kinsley seems to know them before they’ve even stumbled upon this part, her dark eyes cutting back towards them with her mouth set into a firm, thin line. “FALLEN FROM GOD, is it? And what, exactly, do you know about this God, and what happens for someone to need to bear witness to?” fingers twitch, she knows intimately where she’s got a pistol pressed against her, a knife in other places. What she needs to do if they come at her now, mysterious, strange, and promising all at once. How Sookhee wonders if she’ll regret taking the job from them after all, taking that cautious shift in where she stepped. “Why’ve I got this feeling that you’ve been holding back on me, Kinsley? What have you gotten us into?”
