Momma Hen Turkeys with Their Chicks - August 2018 Ashley National Forest, Flaming Gorge UT Sheep Creek Canyon Geological Area in the Ashley National Forest at Flaming Gorge, Utah, has some fantastic rock formations with really weird patterns, etc, but I think I have posted enough rocks for awhile. Instead, I will post these images of hen turkeys with their chicks who were foraging for bugs in one of the fields by the side of the road. Normally, images of turkeys are either from a long distance away or are shot really rapidly as the birds hustle into the overgrowth. These hens, however, seemed unconcerned about our presence on the road. Maybe they know they are protected where they are, or that it is currently not turkey season. MWM
