The #colossivecartographies made by @colossivepress (@tommurphypics and @janegibbensmurphy working in #penge) makes brilliant use of the #turkishmapfold. Each piece starts as a portable, card a bit smaller than a small paperback book then unfolds to reveal an A6 (more or less “legal size” for us across the pond) sheet. Here you can see “before” and “after” side-by-side for my contributor. There are thirty-six entries to date featuring a wonderful array of creators. There are also great articles about the inspiration (@tommurphypics relates learning about Turkish map folds in a book bing workshop folds - they were new to me). Especially dear is the association to the punk tradition of 7 inches. When you get some of these and interact with them, they really have that feel of a great 7 inch of being compact and huge, accessible and precious.
