Oh no.

Eyes wandering around the office hallway, her small hands clutching onto the papers she had, Adelaide continued to walk down the halls of the Prosecutor’s Office, desperately trying to find the right room.

I think I’m lost.

It started out simple enough. Somebody had called Prosecutor Gavin out of his office, and he trusted that she could stay in there alone for a little while. But then that lady on the phone said that he had some papers for a court case in the copy room down the hall, and things were going alright until that man had asked her if she could fish out his badge from in between two couch cushions.

And then he just left her there. 

Distracted in her search for the correct office and trying not to panic, she bumped into somebody, sending the papers into a flurry.

“Ah! I-I’m sorry!”
