Good question. At this point, if I were to bet which song would be selected as a single, it would be I Lived It as it had good sales and good critical feedback. Plus, Blake seems to really love that one from listening to some of his interviews.
I think Turning Me On has a 50/50 chance of becoming a single. If it gets picked as a single, I wonder if they would have to edit the song for radio as it’s a bit long for radio standards I think. Personally, I like the song too and it’s catchy as heck. I have been listening to Texoma Shore for awhile and my mom loves Turning Me because of Blake’s twang on the turning me on part, ha.
Totally agree, wish he has more confidence as a writer as well. It makes me sad and frustrated when I hear him talk about starting a song and then sending it off to other people to complete or work on the song before he screws it up. Blake is a communicator, he has a way with words. I don’t doubt he can write awesome songs if he put his mind to it. If I was a part of his management, I will make that man sit and write.
