If you are following a ketogenic diet, turnip wedges are a tasty low-carb alternative to regular potato wedges. They are great as an appetizer or side dish. For extra flavor, paprika and garlic powder are added to them.
Ingredients: 2 medium turnips, peeled and cut into wedges. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 teaspoon paprika. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh parsley for garnish optional.
Instructions: Get the oven ready by heating it up to 400F 200C. Mix the turnip wedges with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and olive oil in a large bowl until they are well coated. Place the turnip wedges in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. After the oven is hot, bake the turnips for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping them over halfway through, until they are golden brown and soft. If you want, you can add fresh parsley as a garnish before serving.
